I kinda have this traditionwith mirrors edge. I basically play it every christmas eve from the very beginning, just cuz. I've played through it like 40 times, and it's still fun to just run around and do parkour, lol. But yeah, the earlier levels are the much better ones, less combat more free, fun, parkour

i've just bought tr:underworld for 9$ and it is pretty good for the money that i spent . but the dam mechanic made the game feels clunky to me . i know that i am spoiled by the new RPGs with flowy control and smooth gameplay ,namely uncharted , but the animation , the aiming , everything of the mechanic feels like it got ported right off of ps2 era . the mechanic is dated much more than everything else in the game .
Damn! ME is amazing, its different, its an experience like none other. How could u say only running is awesome? I love that game. Underworld is one of the worst games from the technical point of view and yet i enjoyed it sooo much. I totally agree everyone should play it but u have to be aware of the fact that it is made by lazy developers :) heheh or maybe its so buggy cuz T & Y were beta testing it :D

Hey, i finished Mirrors Edge Story Mode on Easy, Normal and hard and it took 3-4 for each of them(without the cartoon cutscenes). and i agree the combat got anyoying and it was a little bit repeadative but it was a fun game.

Maybe I'm a bit late, but I've been playing ME a lot lately.
It's a strange game in that it takes quite a while to figure out how you're supposed to play it. Basically, the ideal thing is to run. Run like hell. If you have to, there's a disarm skill you can use. Basically, run up to an enemy, wait for him to hit you and press a button at a specific time and you'll knock him out. But then just keep running.
The combat's very flat, but you're not meant to do much of it anyway.
I thought about what would make Mirror's Edge a better game and here is what I came up with. Keep the movement and controls the same but let you explore the whole city at your own leisure and add a lot of pedestrians. They could of made it more like Crackdown or GTA IV where you could choose the missions you wanted to do and they could definitely improve the games combat.

I like how you can just pick up the weapons, and discard them when they have ran out of ammo, it just seems more real to me. The Techno music fit really well in with the game too, in my opinion. I bought the game and am so far quite impressed with it. You are right about the story, however I think potential is there. I am looking forward to a sequel.

hey if you watch the mirrors edge review of this guy called storm (youtube name stormdainproductions, check him out, he's a funny dude) you'll see that he had the exact opposite complain (too little combat).
I think the mass of triple-A titles has really spoiled a lot of gamers and the hard work that goes into a game often goes unappreciated.
I am convinced you always need to be critical in order for something to become better, but give some love, there's a lot of awesome in that game too :)

Somewhat, they have a partner program where you get a thousand views per video and make them on a regular basis. If you meet both of those you can have a banner and upload long videos.

hey if you watch the mirrors edge review of this guy called storm (youtube name stormdainproductions, check him out, he's a funny dude) you'll see that he had the exact opposite complain (too little combat).
I think the mass of triple-A titles has really spoiled a lot of gamers and the hard work that goes into a game often goes unappreciated.
I am convinced you always need to be critical in order for something to become better, but give some love, there's a lot of awesome in that game too :)

i thought mirrors edge was pretty good. i liked your idea of the roof top race, they could have made the fighting better if you could have like had mabye like a boos fight/chase or something idk. and banjo & kazooie nuts and bolts was terrible compared to the first 2 :(
