i wasnt a pro artist or had any official traning besides my own self training and experience.at the all call. there were however lots of artist that were pro level and came very prepared with a portfolio and everything. dont let that intimidate you.i still got the job!

Hey there! sorry its taken so long for me to get back to you. i would say def take a trip back to the store to make sure that the foundation color still matches your skin. Our summer skin tends to be slightly draker because of skin exposure to the sun alot. and of course in the winter months when tend to lighten up a little more.chances are if u do need a lighter shade it will be only 1 shade lighter than what your using or u may not have much of a noticable skin change where the 44 still works!

@marti4484 You have to bring disposable brushes for clients, you can't use the same mascara brush on 12 people, that's is gross. :P

I've never had to sell one Macys card to anyone while working at the counter but I'm sure all locations are different. I wouldn't be apart of an aggressive selling team either however we do have sales goals per month but I haven't seen anyone fired over falling a little short.

I have my second interview with them this Monday. I am going to bring hand sanitizer and I told my model to make sure she has a clean face. I have no idea what I am going to do but I am getting ready for day/night and/or bridal because that is what I heard. I also have an interview at a Macys counter the same day. i wuz offered a job as a mua for a counter in macys, not mac, and they told me if i didnt sell a quota of macys charge cards, i would be fired, orders from corporate, they had no control over saving anyone, so i HAD to be aggressive in signing people up. i turned down the job bcause i wanted to do makeup, not sell macys chrges.

And no they didn't time me at all however I have heard some people during other interviews were timed

i think one of the reasons you got the job was because you kept up with them, you called, emailed... lol. thats how i got my first job! haha.
