  • I don't really hear any James Bond theme, here. But I DO hear the "screeching" creatures from the song Echoes @ 0:46-1:07. Quite relevant, since the opening PING notes from that song can be heard in "Hey You" (the preceding song on The Wall) during the bridge. Listen closely.

  • Who else can hear James Bond theme in this? I fucking love this song and it's so beautiful. Floyd Are Gods!!!

  • yea wassup?

  • Comment removed

  • Sounds like something you would hear when playing Silent Hill

  • @mauro0893 True.

  • what does the guy say at the end before it got cut off? it sounds like: "I have a little problem with this crying business"

  • @ChristopherH1985 He says "I got a little black book with my poems in!".

  • Does anyone know what he's yelling at the end? I would like to know :)

  • @DelusionalSyko ...(Child screams first) then Roger Waters: "Shut up! Go away! Hey your little brat's driving me crazy!"

  • @illuminotme999 Thank you kind sir.

  • @DelusionalSyko You're welcome. But I have no idea what the relevance might be to the song.

  • @illuminotme999 Eh. It's The Wall. The whole album is like that.

  • @DelusionalSyko Actually he says "Vera, Oye, I've got a little black book with me poems in it"

  • @acole61420 Okay. That makes more sense. They refer to that line a lot in The Wall.

  • @DelusionalSyko Yeah, cause the next song on the cd is nobody home which starts out with i got a little black book with my poems in

  • @acole61420 Hahaha. And on the movie when he's in the classroom he's writing poems in a black book, and one of the poems is lyrics to the song Money. So weird that I caught the reference. I'm too much of a Floyd freak.

  • @DelusionalSyko lol i do remember that i love floyd as well

  • I was walking home at night alone listening to my iPod when this song came on... needless to say I shit my pants

  • 10 people can sux it

  • The best part is 0:00-2:59

  • @MiltosMetalfun really original comment 10/10

  • Both Pink Floyd and David Bowie were into space topics simultaneously. Set the controls.. PF. Space Oddity DB... and so on.. :)

  • Cool picture.

  • I was asking the man to explain his comment. Who the fuck are you talking to , anyway. I couldn't give a fuck if you know what Bowie or Gilmour have for breakfast, i don't need to know. I wanted to know clearly, what he was saying. If you read his first comment it doesn't come accross clearly , who influenced who. So go and fuck yourself on a rusty pipe, fucking hero worshipper. I like floyd, i like bowie, i'm not that fucking bothered about your opinion.Fuckin troll.

  • inice picture where did you get it would make a nice background

  • @Zanazuah Huh...

  • @Zanazuah Yeh, but it's a (young) eighty...

  • One of my all-time toppers of Floyd, and his dear friend Pink...

  • Not that I'm denying it, but how exactly is David Bowie an influence to this song?

  • @BrandibellFlower I saw him talking about it in an interview a few years ago I think. They were playing at about the same time, weren't they?

  • @sangolt88 so, who influenced who. "one of David Bowies influences", infers that Bowie was influenced by this. Maybe he was , i don't know. It's a bit vague, to just lob in a little sentence without supporting it.

  • @bizzo142 Frankly, I dont give a fuck, happy new year :-)

  • @sangolt88 ok, just say anything for the sake of it. you must have some interesting conversations. but if you don't give a fuck, what's the point of communicating with you. Stick to what you know.

  • @bizzo142 lol you dont know anything about pink floyd or Bowie, do you? Bowie was/is a huge fan of Pink Floyd, especially the 60's and early 70's era of Pink Floyd. Syd Barret was one of his biggest influences.

I quote Bowie: “The few times I saw him (Barret) perform in London at UFO and the Marquee clubs during the 60s will forever be etched in my mind."

Your comments are a disgrace to Bowie, Floyd, and everyone listening to them.

  • @NorwegianCrows All you know , is what you read in fuckin magazines or google. You have never met the people in question, so all you actually know, ain't much. All you know is what is reported. That means shit. I couldn't give a fuck if you know what star sign bowie is, or what gilmours favourite soap is. My question was to the other prick. I asked him to clarify who, inflenced who. He came back with " i couldn't give a fuck". In other words he didn't know. And then you piped up!

  • @bizzo142 You need to chill. NorwegianCrows pretty much explained it, now please get a hobby or something.

  • @sangolt88 Mature.

  • @sangolt88 And yet another piece of irrelevant information and clarifying response on the internet.

  • @sangolt88 Pink Floyd are earlier than Bowie & were a proggressive 'underground' group vastly influencial long b4 Bowie set foot on a stage 2b in a position 2 influence anybody. 2 this day "Dark Side of the Moon" is the greatest selling British band album sold in the USA. It was not until "Young Americans" that Bowie got proper recognition in the USA for his ability to produce intelligent music. In Britain that was known from "Space Oddity" onwards. Ground contol to Major Tom.

  • @littlebigbrain I think David Bowie's album "Hunky Dory" is his best.

  • @BrandibellFlower i think he means the opposite

  • @BrandibellFlower They mean he was influenced by it. Not Pink Floyd.

  • can someone post the lyrics?....

  • scary song...it makes us feel how lonely we are

  • 01:24

  • 00:24

  • I'm high and I didn't even smoke. Thank you Pink Floyd.

  • this is the answer everybody wanted to know for years now.if beings from space exist and visited our planet and the answer is............. Yes they indeed exist and they are watching us right now the goverment is hiding it so we all dont go into panic true story

  • @maskedman0000 This is the wrong but at the same time right video to say that lol

  • @TKGoat i got to give my buddy maskedman0000 credit, he IS tiring to spread the TRUTH about aliens being a REAL thing.

  • @yamahabansheerider I never disagreed with that lol

  • @TKGoat. me nether dude.

  • this is one of the best alien themes ever!

  • is there anybody out there? no.

cold. black. death. nothingness. life is pointless and meaningless.

  • @pangavon Now that was comforting. Tea, anyone...

  • Well?

    Is there?

  • :' )

  • if im stranded in the desert or artic i will sing this song till im gone and buzzard food

  • this is the worst Dwarves cover ever

  • Hello God, are you out there?

  • @Zanazuah lol they aint that old. 65 is old?

  • @sangolt88 They're eligible for social security. They're old. Awesome, but old.

  • @sangolt88 40 is old for a human living a natural life.

  • "Playing at Grieghallen, Bergen on Oct. 8, 2011"

I can't believe I haven't noticed this great band is playing in my own home town tomorrow night. And of course its sold out...

  • @sangolt88 Pink Floyd as a group, is no more. If they were playing, there would be a couple of ghosts there. will not play together. you must mean the australian group.

  • @sangolt88 sorry to say it, but it was actually Brit Floyd, playing in your town , and they aren't half as good as the Australian Pink Floyd. The originals were certainly not playing. lol lol

  • @bizzo142 Yeah I know, a friend told me -.- I dont know too much about the status of Pink Floyd.

  • @sangolt88 if you ever get a chance to see Australian Pink Floyd, they are as close as it gets to the real thing. I went to see them in Liverpool , they were awesome. Dave Gilmour had them playing at his birthday party, so if they are good enough for Floyds lead guitarist, then they're good enough for me.

  • It's got a very ominous start with one of the most beautiful acoustic guitar pieces I've ever heard. It's incredibly soothing and unsettling at the same time, but mostly soothing. :)

  • @foodlovingpig i know dude, that's the beauty and genius of Pink Floyd; it has such a unique atmosphere - how can something be creepy and beautiful??

  • @TheNationalarmy lol you high motherfucker

  • Awesome!

  • this is the ultimate song(the beginning) to scare someone who's alone in an empty room :)

  • Acoustic part just so great

  • @peaceforlove And so easy ^^

  • Credulidad - Pescado Rabioso - 1972

  • this song makes me think..... at the end i noticed how theres a man yelling at someone saying : SHUT UP!!!!!!

  • meravigliosa

  • is there anybody OUTHERE

  • This acoustic guitar piece has always been one of my favorites. It's just very haunting and very beautiful. I only found out recently that it's not David Gilmour playing. I was a bit disappointed, but it's still beautiful.

  • Is it weird I hum this tune when i shave?

  • @THEPAUL411 your shaver hums in A minor so. .............and that even ryhmes.

  • THEY are way the fuck out there.

but I heard they found a base on Mars.

  • yes GOD is out there

  • @TheNationalarmy the Universe is like the ocean..... it is teeming with life

  • The answer to this video = Yes

  • If at the very least its the government spying through windows, and yeah somebody is out there

  • @devis44red one person is a complete idiot and does not understand a goddamn thing about spelling.

  • @TheNationalarmy The thought that there is life beyond the sky above us is a radical view, but to think there is no life is also a radical view.

  • @sangolt88 youtube: fuck off

  • @sangolt88 To think that there aint life outside our planet is naiv.

Peple who cant grasp more than the tught of them selfs. Sorry to say it. but saying aliens doesnt exist is like saying we dont exist. Trust me just because mankind havent found it yet doesnt mean that there arent. :) Peace

  • @TagzBloody heavy

  • Makes you wonder..

  • Thumbs up if Roger Waters is sitting beneath a lamp post in the middle of no-where in your mind too.

  • the picture is almost half as beautiful as the song.

  • I love the starting of the song the way you made it is just great well done give yourself a pat on the back dude

  • ta, bien perra esta rola, jeje...

  • great audio... good vid!

  • I do this intro

  • The acoustic piece sounds like a piece a depressive black metal band would make.

  • @mynameisjonas45 pink floyd was way ahead of it's time. :)

  • @Arrtylang True

  • @Arrtylang nah, good music isn't in 2011 apparently

  • It's just a divine opera, the best opera since Mozart. I'd love to see a ballet to this piece, it sends shivers, too astounding for words...

  • Matt Dillon @ the beginning.

  • listen to Spirits, song called Taurus the one that Stairway to Heaven is derived from. the middle of this song.. great similarity

  • i love that photo that starts off the video, id love to use that on my computer desktop.. if anyone knows where to get it? could you send to me.. thank you so much - Paul in Boston

  • @alexis1007paul you can download the picture and many others just as awesome at turx.com

  • @alexis1007paul Open paint, unblock the picture, hit control and c, then, put your cursor in the Paint window, and hit control and p. Then, crop the picture around this image, and save file as a jpg, in the folder of your choice. Then, set the image as your desktop image.

  • @alexis1007paul

I have it and I won't tell you how to get it. In fact, just to rub it in, I'm going to tell you specifically how not to get it. Don't go to the URL that's shown in the lower left-hand corner of the image. Don't click through to the English site, then gallery, then the fantasy image gallery. Enjoy the rest of your miserable life, so cold and lonely without this bit of artwork.

  • @alexis1007paul

just take a screenshot dummy. people in Boston dont know too much bout the fancy internets. oh wait... Austin. Dumb rednecks live in Austin, not Boston. And I live in Jersey, so i feel the need to give my two cents about everything.

    Peace - Rick from Philly

  • @alexis1007paul did you find the pic yet somewhere? i also would like to have it :D

  • @alexis1007paul google

  • What great period for the music as this one. Great Britain invasion, I remember. Thank you for this moment.

  • Fantastic. Thanks

  • I am wondering if there is anybody out there,

Just studied some columbine tragedy ect, and aww, i cried for a long time, and hearing this just after, just make me more sad, but in a positive way. if u understand., just make me wonder.

  • @kukomamasan

    So you have problems?

  • @WolfmansBrother321

Yea i have problems with ppl, not seeing the problrms, and if you where laying down on the street, and you would ask, is there anybody out there????

  • @kukomamasan

Sorry dude. I musta been intoxicated when I responded to you because I didn't understand what you meant I guess. This song is epic. If you play guitar I recommend learning it, its not really that hard and is soo powerful.

    PINK FLOYD IS THE GREATEST

  • @kukomamasan Yeah I hear ya. I actually lived a block away from Columbine at the time

  • @xDroflmao1337

What a nasty time it was.

  • Beautiful! Thanks.

  • I feel a lot like this song right now. Wondering if there is someone out there.

  • @xHowlingWolf26x we are here.. Be happy

  • One of David Bowie's influences? The Wall was not one of Bowie's influences. I guess you are thinking of early Pink Floyd with Syd Barrett, a completely different style to the Pink Floyd which made this record.

  • first pink floyd song ive ever heard

  • @tywainwright1 for me it's the first i've ever played :)

  • Mrs Morris' Favored Son,

Is there anybody in there, between those ears a plenty....

    Earth to Todd...Earth to Todd...Come in...Over!
