I am running Traktor pro 2 with 2 NDX 800 and the M-audio fast track pro along with an external mixer it works great, but I have no way to record my mixes in traktor from my output from my mixer. If I had another RCA input In my fast track there wouldn't be a problem. Do you have any ideas how I could record my mix ?
Hey Ean! Long time vinyl/CD DJ here, just finally getting my chops in with digi djing. Anyway, I can't get my VCI pre cueing to work with a native instruments Audio 4 card, is it not compatible? Any suggests? Finally, Kano - I'm Ready playing in the background, a long time favorite!!
can i still do what you have called "Headphone cuing" without a soundcard or is it really necessary? is a soundcard needed if i only want to use one pair of headphones and one set of speakers with my laptop / controller? i am looking at buying a vci 100 as it is cheaper than the vci 300 however with the cost of a soundcard aswell..? there isnt too much of a price differnce really, any suggestions?
can somebody pleez make a video that shows step by step how to connect the headphone a/b on the m-audio firewire audiophile via Traktor scratch pro in the menus so i can cue wen using a vci 100..ive got everything plugged in but wen i move the cross fader either left or right i can only hear wots comming out the speakers and in my headphones at the same time and not the deck that i need to cue up..ive been trying and searching the web for weex please help sumbody..! :(
you can´t connect your vestax vc100 directly to your 8 audio DJ, cause of the missing audio output of your vestax vc100. you need to connect both to your computer. And use a DJ Software to work both together.
i would actually like to know the exact same thing. i ve had my vestax vci 100 for about a year and so far i am mixing and scratching without cuing. tomorrow, my audio 2 dj is shipping home. how should i connect my setup to get cuing on the headphones and more importantly: what settings do i have to use in traktor to set up the audio 2 dj for cuing etc... please help ean man
Thanks a lot man for all your support and great vids. Your not one of those businessmen that just try to list as many features of a device as possible to sell it as soon and as many as possible. Cheers
Also props to the Echo Audio Indigo DJ PCMCIA soudcard -- it was my first decent, no-glitch, properly working DJ soundcard. I'd rather have USB cards now to switch from PC/Mac if need be, but if you have a PCMCIA slot that'll support it then it's a good card for sure.
There are lots of options out there, and for those aware of the Native Instruments Audio 4 and Audio 8, also check out the recently released Audio 2. It's the size of a deck of cards, USB powered, and 2 stereo outputs for either Speakers/Headphone or two channels for A/B decks. It has decent guts in it and seems loud and clear, and clearer sound than my Numark DJ I/O (though I recommend the Numark DJ I/O as well, though you may upgrade if you move to gigs on $5k+ speakers)
what sound cards, if any. would u recomend fro a vci300? using serato itch program. plz reply. im berly getting started by the way.. but i do have money to invest in a reasonable card.
The Echo Indigo's are great but they are PCMCIA Type 1 and most modern laptops use PCMCIA type 2.You would need a clumsy adapter to make it work. It's not worth it. I wish they bring out an updated version. I'd buy it in a second.
hey if i buy the audio 4 dj, will i be able to head phone cue with my vci 100 and traktor scratch pro? because right now i have a firewire solo sound card and i can not head phone cue , thank you in advance
Not alone. If you use the Asio4all driver, You might be able to use the UCA202 as either the Master or Headphone output and your computer's audio output as either the Master or Headphone output simultaneously. My advice, just buy a Numark DJIO.
Hey ean, just a suggestion as to a video showing what cables you need for what you want to do. i ordered some and still don't quite know what i'll need. stupid as it seems it is hard when you don't have a clue.
I am using DJ Traktor Studio 2.6 or 3.0 with a presonus fireware sound card.. Ive been winging it not knowing how to cue up the next song through the headphones since I do not use speakers on my computer while not disturbing the live mix. Could you possibly walk me through step by step the setup of the DJ software so I will be able to cue up the next song. It would be very helpful and appreciated. Thanks, John
Thanks Ean, I'm just starting out , and without your help, I'd be abit lost. My vci 100 is on its way, and now a presonus firebox is also. Now I need a new laptop any suggestion? I can't afford a macbook. I'll probably never dj anywhere other than my house. Is there anything else I need to get started?
HI nice video!!mi question is,i'm practicng with virtual dj on my desktop computer, i'm abeginner, and later i want to buy alaptop, what sound card do you recomend me? to use on my desktop and if i buy the laptop i can use on that too,and also no expensive but a good one, please help me with that, my frien wants me to play at his house!! i need help thank you!!
