Why do they show a picture of Larry when he was about 9? The truth is that Larry kept harrassing the straight kid...The straight kid kept asking to be left alone. But Larry wouldn't stop bulling him. At first I didn't choose to be gay. I just kept finding men sexually attractive. I killed myself inside because with every girlfriend I tried to date, I felt more and more of a failure to my parents and my family name. Im gay myself, and I cringed when I heard this news about Lawrence, BUT, he wasnt shot ONLY because he was gay. I read all the articles online. No. The school had a grossly homophobic climate before Larry. Anderson Cooper reported that. I don't care if the kid was wearing a dress and it made them squirm. That was a public school, and Larry had his 1st Amendment Right of Freedom of Expression just as you have your Freedom of Religion. If any of them couldn't handle a boy in a dress, then that's their problem. If they expect others to change who they are to fit their myopic worldview, then they're out of line.

My teacher barely gave out pencils, nevermind makeup and clothingl. Like I said the Lesbian Admin and others in the school were trying to push an agenda at the expense of other kids comfort zones and privacy. There would be no way in hell a male would have been free to harrass females and the school was aware.

Larry didn't break the dress code. Make-up, high heels, and jewels were all allowed by the school. The only "problem" here was that many homophobes didn't like how those clearly allowed things were on a male. Also, being a cross dresser is not a form of harassment, nor is asking someone if they would like to be their Valentine. Boys tease girls they like, and Larry did the same. To say that the teasing of boys to girls doesn't go on is a blatant lie.

Teachers complained about his disruptive behavior and the clear bullying he was doing toward heterosexual boys. Why do they show a picture of Larry when he was about 9? The truth is that Larry kept harrassing the straight kid...The straight kid kept asking to be left alone. But Larry wouldn't stop bulling him. It's alarming nobody has mentioned the Nazi kid was routinely beat by his alcoholic father, who later died from an accident. At first I didn't choose to be gay. I just kept finding men sexually attractive. I killed myself inside because with every girlfriend I tried to date, I felt more and more of a failure to my parents and my family name. Eventually I dated a man and I was made to be extremely happy. Im gay myself, and I cringed when I heard this news about Lawrence, BUT, he wasnt shot ONLY because he was gay. I read all the articles online. Lawrence sexualy harrased and threw his gayness on guys who clearly told him they didnt like it and wanted him to stop and one boy took the wrong path and shot him. This is all very tragic, but this young man OBVIOUSLY had some serius mental health issues, and just by the little I know about the situation, homosexuality withstanding, he should have been locked up in a safe enviroment, (yes, hindsight is truly 20/20). I think Brendan should be tried as an adult. Murder is murder. I'm not saying give the kid death penalty (i'm totally against that btw) but people YOUNGER than him have been tried for murder as an adult. In California, killing someone because of their orientation is a hate crime, and this should be treated as such.
