  • could someone tell me where exaclty is the difference between ITF and WTF?

I´m 1. Dan WTF but seeing ITF videos i just notice some differences between poomsae and hyeong and their clothes are a little bit different but apart from that i think the professionals are equal awesome :D

  • Check my taekwondo video to, I'm from the Netherlands.

  • sidekick is so effective

  • WTF taekwondo makes me laugh

  • @DeathMetalPwnsXD u actually think u'd stand a chance against the dudes that fight in the world championships or the olympics? stick to making retarded comments on ur computer.

  • That is what u call Taekwondo

  • I guess the dream came true of the old man (last scene.) Choi Hong Hi, you will never be forgotten!

  • Well well 240p we meet again...

  • a very nice performance team. what is the team called? :)

  • Jackie Chan is a KungFu Master in several forms (Chen, Yang, Wing Chun etc.). As for him having been trained in other martial arts, I have no idea. Perhaps Chinese Boxing? Ah well...in the end, the fundamentals of all martial arts are very similar.

  • I wish I was asian ;_;

  • @TzTokFlame Being asian has nothing to do with it. Dedicated training and discipline is what brought these people to these heights. Not everyone learns as quickly, that much I'll give you, but anyone can get to this level if you train hard enough.

  • None of these wouldnt work in real life situations.

  • @Perkulezon lol what would you know about real life situations

  • @WOok2a LOL

The scenes are ment to demonstrate the power of the techniques though, so of course it's a little set up.

But on such a level this stuff is really effective.

  • @Perkulezon u dont have a clue. if u have as much expierience and knowledge as these guys it comes second nature as soon as they have to deal with such situations so stop talking shit on youtube videos and go practise a martial art u fukin idiot.

  • @djmarkyno1 C'mon... -.-

  • at 7:04 - 7:05 watch that nice jump spinning sidekick to the side.

  • JACKIE CHAN STYLE

  • @Gwatch777 jackie chan isn't TKD... I believe he's kung fu.. maybe a tad bit of wushu? may be incorrect, feel free to help out!

  • look how perfect those kicks are from 3:30 ! omg i love it :D

  • @toby2421 its a demostration u idiot

  • It's all just tricking.

  • Muito bom este video o taekwondo pra mim é o melhor não importa o estilo se WTF ou ITF.

  • is that tomaz barada who sparring with the kick-boxer guy?

  • The demos are good but the fights don't compare to wtf tkd

  • @shadowtrail66 hahaha good joke man xD

  • 2:06 brunette sonya blade. btw why the hell they're screeming so loud?

  • nice account name lol

  • 3:20 Choong-Moo! (Y)

  • what's the kickboxer's handicap?

  • lmao @ the western edition!!

  • 3:20 - 4:13 is my pattern :)

  • amazing!!!!!!

  • wat does he mean by demo someone plzz tell me

  • @45hotboy a demo is when people show off their techniques usually they use flashy moves.

  • @45hotboy demonstrating what all the moves actuallly do to attacker etc and just showing off tkd. its not real sparring etc all planned

  • malditos ligamentos cruzados de la raodilla , si no fueran por ellos seguiria practicando taekwon-do :S

  • After watching this, I miss taekwondo!

  • loks??? i wash think that taekwondo was an kicking art i praktise itf and i havent seen any locks

  • @blackbelt807 think of the inward knifehand strike in won hyo, that can have application as a strike to the neck artery or as an arm break or as a joint lock. low outer forearm block can be used to dislodge someone if they grab your arm. The techniques can have non obvious applications

  • Comment removed

  • @TibsterNumber13 Choon-Moo, named for Korean Admiral Hi Sun Sin who was reputed to have invented the first armored battleship the Kobukson in 1592. Think I got that right. ^_^

  • @thr33zombies Any one of those techniques would end an altercation in the street.

  • I like everything. Only thing I can say I maybe didn't like was when they sparred they kept their front hand down...but it's not really a big deal. Amazing video, I liked the end quote too.

  • @SOCOMSoldier01 Yeah, the front hand is down to protect the lower body, the abdomen etc from low kicks.

we do tkd so we have to watch out for kicks as well as punches. example if you do skipping side piercing kick, you're opponent can block your kick with a waist block and counter with low kick to the abdomen, if ur hand is there the kick will not be scored as a point. That's for tournaments only, for self defense, you'd have to keep both hands up tho.

  • @thr33zombies Do you think everything you do should be used for just fighting?

  • @mindenburndmaster

Lay of master choi. He was the master of my master who is the highest ranked living member of tkd so try not to spread rumors that aren't true

  • @thr33zombies lmao, i wouldnt use them in a street fight im just saying the're cool

  • I am... completely unimpressed

  • so in ITF taekwondo they use locks and throws as well instead of just kicking?

  • @FaridYM yup they teach us how to do that .but it's not allowed on the competition

  • @FaridYM ALL forms of TKD do this.

  • How many trees die for this show?

  • those backflip board breaks are fucking intense, i do tkd, wish i could do that

  • @TibsterNumber13 Thanx 4 explain...one more question - in which federation do you train? ITA, ITF, ATA or ..? thx

  • @TibsterNumber13 well as I know - CHOONG MOO is tul you have to know for BLACK BELT 1.DAN...and my knowledge tells me that TKD ITF have no brown belt but maybe I am wrong :)

  • @TibsterNumber13 Brown? rofl What kind of TKD do you practice?

  • Sexy

  • 8:02 Mercy ? I don't know this word Mwahahahahaah

Beautiful, I practice WTF, but ITF is beautiful too

  • @Capelossih hehe im in wtf too

  • @poissonaupinard Good \o/ , it's awesome... TKD (WTF or ITF) is pretty good, to mind and body

  • @Capelossih yep i rly love tkd i will practice until my body cant suport it

  • fucking amazing

  • 02:14 If you look closer , she had a bandage cover her eyes ^^

  • my instructor, was general choi's student

  • what's the handicap the kickboxer dud has?

  • @nadups44 I think it's the helmet :))

  • Madness? ... THIS IS..

    ;p

  • @electroneticTV

    non è follia .. è vita!!

  • that tul is amazing

  • I LOVE TAEKWONDO ITF I HAVE FIRST DAN AND I AM FROM POLAND. I AM TRANING WITH MY SAHYUM WOJCIECH DOLNY !!!

  • Fuck me that's unreal! I found it hard enough to break a board, never mind a brick!!

  • I love ITF Taekwon-do! i am a first dan black belt now, but i hope i will be a grandmaster somday! but that will take like a life time! that will be very hard! very, very hard! I want to be like grand Master Rhee, Ki ha!

  • lool in sec 46 the kick NEVEN tuch the Guy xD

  • @TheLegijaStranaca It's a demonstration not a real fight you knob. You think they're just going to let people go at each other with wooden planks whilst an audience watch in real life?

  • I wish she was my g/f. Better yet, I wish she's my wife so she can protect me 24/7. lol

  • Whats the name of this song ???

    Taekwondo 4 life ! :)

  • chinese girls beat any american man any time

  • the funny thing is all these moves are simple its just the basics are hard

  • I could kick this guys ass. What a pussy.

  • @imaTROLLyouman

"imaTROLLyouman "? Obvious trolls is obvious? eh? :)

  • 0:55 triple kill

  • hilarious.

  • I can guarantee that most of ye got bored when the kickboxer cam on or something, Just so ye don't mess it 7.57, Oh good god!

  • Good video but there`s a big fail in 0:46

  • The best

  • don't understand just how come some people don't LOVE this vid.

  • silly coreographed nonsense

  • As a Wing Chun Man I am impressed with the Taekwondo....It is nice to be impressed .

  • @888Kharami Wing Chun is so awesome but its so hard to find a school or teacher for it. :( I have to go to China to learn it. lol

  • @888Kharami as an itf man thank you for your comment, i've seen wing chun and i think it is also impressive!

    Respect Man!

  • Rocks and wood don't hit back. I'd love to see what they are worth in the UFC.

  • @tenkoza shut your lame ass up, you know nothing of TKD, UFC is not a style, its a mix of martial arts like kickboxing and jujitsu. infact a few MMA fighters use TKD as their striking art with another grappling art. go read a book loser.

  • @Jehuty989 First of all i said nothing offending just wanted to see what they are worth in real battle, and not the showcase they were doing on this video. And second of all u tell me to read a book?. I study on a grade tht u can't even imagine. So pls go upload some more cute animated video's before u make urself more embarrassing then u are already.

  • @tenkoza Everything you said was offesive you loser. Btw, Taekwondo is the martial art taught to South Korean Special Forces and in the Vietnam war, Koreans killed more Vietnamese in their ratio than any single American. IS THAT REAL ENOUGH FOR YOU? hahaha do some research before you say some stupid shit. Try looking in my uploads you loser and your see that TKD owns all in the ring.

  • @tenkoza please pay no attention to that person, his words are an embarrassment to taekwondo. to answer your question, only knowing tkd and fighting in a cage with a professional cage fighter well versed in MMA would get you nowhere. even if you were exceptionally great at it, if you don't know how to fight on the floor then you can pretty much guarantee that you're going to lose painfully. however a good tkd fighter who knows BJJ also, has as much chance of winning as any of them i guess

  • @h0rangi wtf are you talking about? im 3rd Dan in ITF TKD and i also do Muay Thai, and JAPANESE Ju jitsu. If you looked at tenkoza's page, you would see that he is a total fucking troll and all he does is talk shit to everyone because he is a fucking loser.

  • @Jehuty989 what do you mean what am i talking about? what are YOU talking about?? haha what does you being a 3rd dan in TKD and also doing muay thai and japanese jui jitsu have to do with anything?

i also train ITF, muay thai, boxing and brazilian jui jitsu..

whats that got to do with the price of bacon?

a whole other kettle of fish you seem to be frying friend :D

  • @tenkoza it is a good stand up fighting style. IF, and i cant stress enough on this point, THE FIGHTER IN QUESTION USES IT WELL.

  • if he was putting strength in those kicks he wouldnt do like this, it would be difficult

  • The song at 3.26: Body Language by Booka Shade- what a tune!

  • Comment removed

  • GREAT

  • that's tumbling at 2:21

  • that'sq tumbling at 2:38

  • I think it's pretty sexy when women do martial arts :D

  • 7:21 OMG

    luchan re bien O_O

  • How was the kickboxer handicapped?

  • sick moves.

  • holy shet thats cool

  • what is the name of the background song?

  • General Choi Hong Hi, Your DREAM has become truth.

  • @Lucranco true, TKD is now the most widely practiced martial art in the world. even though alot of of is WTF style.. which gives TKD a bad rep..

  • @Lucranco General Choi nothin'. Choi Hong Hi, may have given the art a new name, but korean martial arts have been practiced for centuries. This video is impressive and is a true representation of Tae Kwon Do, but it's not the invention of a single man, it's the evolution and the product of hundreds of years of perfecting and innovation.

  • @MindenburndMaster that innovation I would like to think continues on today with anyone who practices TKD.

  • @MindenburndMaster Did you learn any theory at all? Taekwon-do was put together by the general but based on the Korean Tae Kyon (1300 years old art) and partly on Karate too.

  • @AngelicPhantom Taekwon-Do was created from a combination of Taekkyon, karate, physics, and his own improvements. However, my knowledge is based on true Taekwon-Do in the USTF. I also reconize the ITF as true Taekwon-Do. The WTF is too different from General Choi's art to be Taekwon-Do. It is it's own art.

  • @MindenburndMaster nope tkd didn't exist b4 gen choi invented it. even taekkyon was nearly dead at the time. tkd is gen choi's brainchild and invention. he took it from a karate looking art with kicks to what it is today. but i will allow that tkd has had several influences, example itf tkd HAS been influenced by WTF tkd, for the better I think, it has also been influenced equipment changes and the innovations of competitors. It's an evolving art.

  • vi0p nhi?????????

  • 5:02 Left guy ( Black belt ) is my Master

  • 4:00 Tul nubah 9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • como se llama el segundo tema?

  • 0:48 is also verry cool :D

  • 8:00

OWNAGE o.O This head grab with the legs ist so awesome. Best move I have ever seen. Is this an real TKD move? ..... haha awesome just awesome :D

  • This truly is an excellent display of ITF Tae Kwon-Do as an art!

4.30 love the demonstration of Choong-Moo Tul.

    The breaking is hardcore to!

  • muy buen video :D

  • true sport ! 0% martial art !

  • @MaGaTsU117 0% "Martial Art"?

Martial web definition: "warlike: suggesting war or military life."

ITF is used currently used in the North Korean Military and previously in the South Korean Military. Your thinking of WTF (World Taekwon-Do Federation) which is sport orientated.

  • @MaGaTsU117 Funny that. Chang Hon/ITF system was developed through the military in 1950's, during Korean War, in S. Korea. Practised by Korean military. Sounds martial enough for me.

  • "My hope is to send Taekwon-do to the and the stars. I'm to od now but my students someday do that. That's my dream!" Love that words.

  • @chrisgeorgegray Hey that sounds like a good idea, I may just go do that. Oh wait!! I'm a black belt in Tae Kwon Do! I forgot about that, haha. Thanks for the suggestion though. :)

  • The form he started at 3:25 was the lousiest form I have ever seen. He utterly drops his guard between every move and has no deliberacy in any of his moves. Fail.

  • @thedmart1 instead of shitting infront of your computer slagging off everyones martial arts acctualy go out there and do it yourself.

  • i wanna quit WTF.

  • @shiddi1 you should i quit WTF and started ITF and i cant explain how much better it is.

  • @chrisgeorgegray

i want to but the itf dojang is too far away from the wtf dojang

  • is there weapons training in itf taekwondo.

  • @Necrobotics No. The General always said first you must master your body. Of course, it is impossible to master your body so your life is spent in pursuit of that mastery.

  • @Necrobotics No try hapkido if you want a korean art that trains weapons

  • makes me love this martial art even more..

  • lol it easy with already broken wood board and orchestrated fight XD

  • are those choi's students from a school of his

  • hands up for braking with an axe kick

  • almost as good as me lol just jking

  • And no offense to the poster, but this video doesn't do TaeKwonDo a whole lot of justice. I think perhaps a video of my own is in order. There are takedowns, ground defense, breaks, throws, all of these things are part of the traditional curriculum. These guys are great at acrobatics, but they do an awful job of showing real applicable techniques where they are needed.

  • this is not a boxer 6:00

  • at 1:42 no way a submission would work like that. nice vid !

  • good artists, no more credits. this tkd is fake, no real breakings, do not show to people to keep them not dissapointed in that style. you'd better have gone to some shows like "you think you can act?"

  • what this song called

  • I've tried WTF for 6 months at two schools. Both were what i felt orientated like a business in the sense of more money from each participant. That said it was a family-friendly and a fun environment. ITF on the other hand was what people have said in the comments for this video, more all-rounded. The ITF club i was at was great and so were the schools we trained against.

  • HOLY SHIT! this is awesome

  • ITF, WTF; they're all TKD. However, I think that ITF gives a more well-rounded and mental approach to TKD, as compared to the soulless point-scoring taught in WTF. Also, I find that ITF fighters are better at improv sparring and have more endurance than WTF fighters. Both are nice styles, but I prefer ITF.

  • I bet I could take down a guy that knows Taekwondo...Yea they have technique. But all you have to do it catch a kick, trip them, and go from there.

  • @rubberducky312 That´s a big "could." You think an exprienced TKD fighter would't expect you to do something like that? Thing is, TKD figher can easily swap his kick to another in an instant. Example, a rounhouse to the body can be turned to a sidekikck to the face pretty smoothly.

  • @rubberducky312 I would love for you to try. I can come to wherever you train and spar with you. I'm a 2nd Degree Black Belt and I would almost guarantee that you would not take me down. And if by some off chance you did I would be able to get up and finish the fight. Tae Kwon Do has the fastest reaction times in all of martial arts as well as the strongest kicks. I do want to test your theory however and am willing to fly out to your area to test this.

    Let me know,

  • Whatever you say Ninjutsu is the best martial art because of the body control

  • @SarutobiNinjgetzu No martial art is better than the other. They all have their cons and pros. It comes down to the person manipulating the techniques to prevail.

  • @immortalmuffinz I agree completely. "1st degree black ITF TaeKwonDo" Art is irrelevant. Don't get me wrong, i'm proud that I know TaeKwonDo, and I loved my training and instructor, but Being able to apply what you've learned to win the fight/battle means everything. Whether it's on the ground, in the sky, kicks and punches, your movement and actions are what determines the outcome.

  • i think that all martial artists who watch this video and say "muay tai is better than TKD " or TKD is the best martial art there is " should transfer school becouse any good teacher would always say " you cant compare martial arts only martial artists " so think about that before you coment

  • @stevenwithyomomma totally agree <.< no such thing as the best martial art or the worse... its how the fighter uses it

  • I wish there were an ITF academy here in Costa Rica, I like TKD but I feel that the olympic style focus have corrupted the true meaning of this martial art, to do something only to score a point have no meaning...

  • @mauricios1981 Very well said man! I totally agree.

  • @mauricios1981 I feel for you, the same thing corrupted my Karate >_>

  • @mauricios1981 ITF isn't olympic, WTF is

  • @mauricios1981 OLIMPIC TKD IS NOT A MARTIAL ART PER SE IS A SPORT BUT IT DOESNT MEANT YOU DON,T PRACTICE IT LIKE A MARTIAL ART, PLEASE EDUCATE YOURSELF.

  • @mauricios1981 yah, thats how i feel about alot of things. kedo aswell.

  • @mauricios1981 i agree with you i do wtf but still we learn all this tuff to in my class
