Freedom House was NOT the first paramedic unit in the US. It was the Miami Fire Department under Dr. Eugene Nagel. The paramedics started transmitting EKG's via radio in 1967 and in 1969 had the first paramedic save on the East Coast (Portland OR had the first paramedic save). Unless the Freedom House crews did defibrilation and telemetry first, they don't claim the title.
Then prove to me when the first advanced life support service was run by Freedom House. Prove to me when Gene Nagel first ran ALS services.
