Heres a song for the video,,, """George-Washington-Bridge,,,, the most wonderful Bridge Perhaps,,,, Its worth hours of wait time in rush hour,,,, Cuz Tappan Zee's 'bout to collapse""" :P :P :P
Oh my God! We sang this song crossing the GWB too when I was growing up (lived in NJ, but parents' families were in NY/Brooklyn). If your grandpa wrote it - I wonder if we're related! My wife thought I was nuts when I told her about this song. Apparently, we weren't the only ones singing it! LOL.
From a Sesame Street tape!

we sing to too. My kids thought that my father made it up, but I've always known it was a "real" song. And we never watched Sesame street, ever.

What's the original name of that song? Yeah, yeah, Ernie gave it words on Sesame Street, but what's the tune called?

Oh my goodness. I still sing the song when I cross the river.
And I know others who sing the song too!
Where did it come from???

Oh my goodness! We sang this song too when I was growing up in the late 50's to mid 60's.
I still sing the song today with my partner as we cross the river.
And we've met others who know the song.
Does anyone know where the "song" originated.
