@Nofreeparkingmusic the bass player Johnny Christ didn't join till waking the fallen, and they had three bassists prior. A7X was originally 4 people by the way. Synyster gates joined later on. the only original members are M. Shadows, The Rev, Zacky Vengance and Matt Wendt

When Arin played his first show with A7X, it was the first time since the band felt like they had The Rev back. With Mike they didn't. I'm sure that says just who is better. Mike or Arin. I'mma say Arin.

I honestly feel Ilejay will pick up a lot of pointers from the rest of the band. He'll probably end up developing into a very Rev-esque drummer. After listening to Not Ready to Die, I can safely say that his style is very similar to the Rev's, one thing I really missed about Nightmare. Despite the band saying that it was all influenced by the Rev, it's easily noticed that the fills and rhythm of Portnoy are nowhere near as good as Jimmy's.
I think Arin is a good choice he is amazing for one so young. and he does sound kinda like Jimmy although in the hearts of A7X fans everywhere the band will never be tghe same without Jimmy </3

im glad they got someone who plays kinda like the rev but honestly he isn't that great. Idk maybe im spoiled cuz we had jimmy and portnoy before him, but u can tell he just isn't on the same level as them. I thought his snare solo that time they played danger line was kinda sloppy and his drum part in not ready to die was a pretty generic rock part, not really bringing too much to the song. So i guess i was just expecting too much but hopefully he'll grow on me in the future
@CoolbeansofGR What people need to realize is that he's only 23 years old. He has a LOT of time to develop his style and grow into a great drummer. I think he's amazingly talented already, and he's perfect for the band. Just what they were looking for and I'm thankful that they have him to help take the band forward.

It's not how Jimmy played it and how Mike played it, but how Arin plays it, and in the future how he is going to play it. The moral is not every musician plays the same. @mrshahkecoh It's looking that way. Shadows has said that he's gonna help them keep making music for the next 25-30 years, so unless something goes wrong between them I think he's here stay for a long, long time :)

@RandomGuys4ever dude, thats not the revs kit, first off arin uses pork pie drums and the rev used DW, arin uses paiste and trx cymbals, the rev used sabians, fucking chill, get the sand out of your pussy and take a closer looks at arins kit before you rage mode on everyone, the revs kit is at the hard rock in vegas, also any REAL fan would notice that he only has 2 bass drums, the rev had 3, also that he doesnt have an 8x7 inch tom, and different color. retard

Dude i saw him live in okc and his drumming has improved since this video I know good drumming when i see it. No hes not the rev or portnoy but he will flourish into his own style so give him a chance.

im glad they got someone who plays kinda like the rev but honestly he isn't that great. Idk maybe im spoiled cuz we had jimmy and portnoy before him, but u can tell he just isn't on the same level as them. I thought his snare solo that time they played danger line was kinda sloppy and his drum part in not ready to die was a pretty generic rock part, not really bringing too much to the song. So i guess i was just expecting too much but hopefully he'll grow on me in the future

@CoolbeansofGR What people need to realize is that he's only 23 years old. He has a LOT of time to develop his style and grow into a great drummer. I think he's amazingly talented already, and he's perfect for the band. Just what they were looking for and I'm thankful that they have him to help take the band forward.

It's not how Jimmy played it and how Mike played it, but how Arin plays it, and in the future how he is going to play it. The moral is not every musician plays the same. @CoolbeansofGR Portnoy messed Jimmy's drum partitives.. he had to improvise in most songs..So....Mike is not that great either. At least Arin sounds like Jimmy in some way. Arin you are cool....But no one is cooler than The Reverend.

@thepsychomangaartist if u mean his "parts" no he didn't. He played them as jimmy would've played them and only on small sections or fills did they just tell portnoy "go crazy". The bridge of "Save Me" is a pretty good example of this. Mike is a great drummer, and this is coming from someone who's been playing drums since the 3rd grade. Anyway im not saying arin's a BAD drummer but im just saying so far im unimpressed and he does not compare to either portnoy or jimmy

Idiots just wish that one of the best bands in the world would break up. Is Arin The Rev? no. Will he ever be The Rev? no. But he's Arin and I for one am excited to see what they will do together.
