There's nothing quite like it when australians get it right. Unfortunately it doesn't happen that often, but who says we can't change that? This seems to be the kickstart modern australian music needs!
Just saw The Drones in San Francisco recently. Brilliant show I must say.
This song and video are just so immense and amazing, it baffles my mind every time I watch it. Rock on Drones, thanks for coming to the states and sharing your awesome music with us.
they named a song after a demon that possesses people?

Tame Impala, Eddy Current Suppression Ring, The Drones - plenty of good Aussie bands about - not that it matters where they're from if its good!

Is that Gregory Peck waving his hand during the "choruses"? What movie is that from?

I think Australians get it right a lot. But the ones that do are obscure or don't have actual contracts yet. That's the real shame.

You wrote me a letter
And this is how it went:
It said, "We're backing up the supply lines
The first division's crossin' the Nile
Through the rushes and up the side
And into the machine gun fire
Tell me that this is not a dream
I've become a steel spring
Uranium tips night vision cruise missles
Gonna cut the belly out of the sky

Why would you pack up your supply lines? Wouldn't you need them while attacking? God I'm an anal bastard.

Their best song to date. I notice that a lot of the themes that they cover (especially in their new album) involve the apocalypse.
Would love to see what they could do with a concept album.
