  • Someone should remake this song but still have the good rhythm to it!

  • @fanficspoofers why remake a song?

  • @kallemick So the sound quality is excellent, better then before. But it still has the original sound to it. Also so people these days who don't know music will have a taste of something good.

  • @fanficspoofers people will still know about this kind of music i have seen 14 year olds that listens to this kind of music and so what? the sound quality is great as it is now to me it sounds like something that was recorded today

  • yeah yeah im gonna hurl cuz i saw a very very ugly girl hhhaaahaaaaaa

  • gosh I havent listened to this stuff in years...I love it stilll

  • Thanks to my dad(RIP 1/17/1942 - 5/21/2009), I was raised on this kind of stuff. Thanks, Dad! You raised me on the great music you grew up with!

  • I remember listening to this with my Mom and my sister dancing around the livingroom!

  • I could dance to this song all day long

  • @velvetevening1 : You have good taste for music, young sir.

  • i've come to the conclusion that no matter what video you go to on youtube there's gonna be some negative comment or some stupid ass people who don't know what they're talking about or don't know what real music...i just ignore them

  • Hell yeah, calendar girls!

  • He's my dad's cousin. He's a douche.

  • This song came out before my mum was even born!!! :D I love this song!!

  • @VanillaCupcake91 You mean mom not mum.

  • @omgwaffels96 Nope, i mean mum :) Im from New Zealand and we call our mothers mum here, same thing though!! :D

  • They play this song all the time at the store I work at, along with some other good old ones like Blue Moon, Chantilly Lace, and for some reason they play Pink Cadillac too (the Springsteen version not the Jerry Lee version).

  • Went into my paps basement and saw a pretty risque calendar, it wasn't just puppy and leaves.

  • His voice sounds like nails on a black board.

  • Chuck and Larry brought me here :)

  • This song is amazing... haha and im only 15. :D

  • I love this song.

  • bless playboy!

  • when i go to my local supermarket at around 11:00 amish, they always have oldies playing. i love the person who chooses the music there, whoever s/he is.

  • The scary thing about "American Graffiti" is how damned true it was. I grew up in a San Joaquin valley town that looked just like the locations in the movie. We cruised the drag, looking for girls, got in and out of each others cars, got in fights. Hell I even was picked up on the street by local hoods, just like Kurt. Had a blast. Younger people just can't believe this all really happened. Sure wish I had scored with Candy Clark like Toad.

  • @79barkingspider

What's even scarier is how this guy's got all these videos up-loaded with 'American Graffiti' movie pics & sound-track covers & I still can't tell whether they're just there for the heck of it, or, if the songs were actually featured in the movie, such as this one, here, because nobody's been telling me, or, helping me out.

Hopefully you can give a hand & verify if the vast-majority/all of these songs were either in the movie/on the sound-track/both.

  • @tthomaselli2 i would seriously doubt that one movie would have the amount of song in the related videos box. If all those songs were in the movie, it would need 5 intermissions, and consist 90% of pure music, and nothing else.

  • @htftyut6

That's not the answer I'm looking for.; All this guy's videos have movie pictures/sound-track covers of 'American Graffiti' & I'm trying to see whether, or, not they're featured in the movie & as usual, I get no help from anybody & because of YouTube's new lay-out, I can't send AK47bandit a fuckin' friend-request to see if he can maybe help me out.

  • love being in my twentys and the fact that all these idiots who listen to pop bollocks have no idea that music 50 years old kills the whole top 40 of today....love it

  • My mom used to sing this song to me when I was like five. She'd replace calender with princess and sing about her little "Princess girl" -- She died last month. I'm only nineteen. I miss you mom and I'll always think of you when I hear this.

  • I used to sing this when I was a child. that was 90's. I'm just 17 years old (:

  • some people have no clue about oldies music if u have nothing good to say guess what u and ur opinions dont matter

  • My dad has a very eclectic taste in music...from Neil Sedaka to modern country music. It's only natural that it got passed down to me.

  • i cant help but dance ^_^

  • If I see one more goddamn comment saying "I'm 4 years old and omg I love this song" I'll friggin puke. Wow man, y'all are just the most awesomest kids like everrrr!

I've surfed around here listening to oldies and it just seems like half the comments are "omg I'm so young but I totally like love this song" or "America sucks now and this happy music reminds me of how corrupt this place is and how much I hate it"

    STFU AND ENJOY SOME MUSIC!

  • @KASSsayWHAT I'm a fetus and I love this song! Aren't I just so sophisticated for my age? lol

  • @KASSsayWHAT

You need to chill dude. Music like this is supposed to make you feel good, not angry.

  • @jgfergus My point is that it's reeeealy frustrating when every comment I see is similar to one or the other "examples" I said. Either someone wants to get some retard's attention and be thought of as uber duber cool or use this happy music to randomly bash this generation

I love singing this music HAPPILY at the top of my lungs wherever and whenever, so BLAHH! :]

  • this song is part of an inside joke for me and our wonderful Art teacher...Mrs. Meyer! thanks!!

  • @maddymooily @HabboYourself @babyksmith15 @zampini24 @hotmorganlover - Stop being attention whores, no one gives a shit.

  • Used to sing this song, among others on school bus to basketball away games. 1962 Holley NY

  • the best !!!

  • im 13 and i love, i love, i love, this song :)

  • i love i love ilove this song! hahaa, my art teacher showed this to me...and im only 13, lol

  • I was definitely born in the wrong decade! I'm 23 and absolutely love 50s, 60s music! What a song to start the day off :)

  • @babyksmith15 im 17 and i love music from the 60s and before! lets make a time machine and go back to those decades haha :)

  • @babyksmith15 im 17 and i love music from the 60s and before! lets make a time machine and go back to those decades haha :)

  • Im 14, and I love this song and this song is what like 36 years older than me? Better then some songs nowadays to be honest..

  • @HabboYourself ohh yeaaa by farr

  • @HabboYourself

    Atleast 50

  • @HabboYourself I'm 12 8)

  • @HabboYourself That just means that this newer generation is getting smarter. Im like 19 and it might be weird for me to something like that but its true.

  • @HabboYourself how did you spell all songs wrong

  • @HabboYourself Just shows that you have good taste and know what is good and what isn't.

  • @HabboYourself same here im 15

  • @HabboYourself ..have you ever considered the fact that you may have been around during that time ;)

  • @HabboYourself just because your 14 that doesn't make you special you fucking prick, eff off kid

  • @dicksteele75 Yeah, fucking dumb ass kids.

  • @TheDonaldPierce go back to listening to your precious emo metal core bands, pumpkin :)

  • @dicksteele75 You mean go back to listening to GOOD music opposed to this old shit? Sure. Why not.

  • @TheDonaldPierce lolz, just save yourself the embarrassment and leave kid

you're making this harder for yourself

  • @dicksteele75 just leave him alone and he never said he was special???

  • @TheCodfan15 people do that on youtube to get hordes of thumbs up in case you haven't noticed, pal

  • Comment removed

  • @maddymooily *Rihanna, *More Peaceful. No one cares that you're 12 and love this music. This is from the 60's, so even people that are 35-40 years weren't part of this generation of music. You don't see them posting "like zomg i'm only 35 years old and i love this music" #tard

  • The calendar girls of yesteryear were more real and original inside and out then today's poster board toothpick frauds!!!

  • ameri8can grafiti was in the 1950s not 1960s god how dumb is that movie even

  • @planetraptor420 The movie took place in 1962 you stupid fuck. Why don't you learn your facts before you post things. Also, you're calling the movie dumb, yet, you can't even construct a sentence correctly. Congratulations!

  • The calendar girl is the highest in the image of the American graph tea.

  • awesome

  • i thought this was paul anka

  • Great song!!!!!!

  • doing this for the finale at my recital ... HAHA!

  • Why the hell don't the big three make cars like this anymore? They worked, they were solid, people could work on them and they were beautiful. All they sell is ugly cheap garbage these days and wonder why they're going bankrupt. You can't tell me if they could build those classics at an affordable price today that people wouldn't be beating down the walls to buy them!

  • @LeCutter i know i would. im 14 and my grandpa, who buys and sells cars, is giving me a 1964 dodge dart. granted it needs some work, but once she's fixed up, that'll be my baby :)

  • @LeCutter some of u kids these days are very insightful. everything u said about old cars is absolutely true. my first car was a '53 De Soto with a semi-auto trans (auto with a clutch) and a 300+ cu in Hemi (yes hemi) -- very popular among dragsters at the time. what a set of wheels...

  • @LeCutter SOOOOOOO TRUE

  • i was born 70 years too late

  • @yerrowcookie If you're 18, as your profile states.... You suck at mathematics. This song was released in 1961.

  • @crazedbirdy9 im 12 and i wish i was born in the late 30's to be a teenager in the 50's, faggot

  • I was born 30 years to late

  • im only a teenager and I LOVE THIS SONG, I heard it on Happy Days when Potsie sang it and now im in love with this osng <3

  • Does anyone know how to play it on the guitar

  • Fact: The 12 people who didn't like this are mentally disabled.

  • @tyrantlu excuse me, but I find that extremely offensive. I have several mental ilnesses from birth, and allow me to inform you, they matter far less than most believe. the simple fact is, i can drive a car, i could read at a college level at 12, and was a chess champion twice in the same month. the idea that one has to be "mentally disabled" to dislike something that can be both liked and disliked, based on conjecture, is unfounded, and extrordinarily hateful. contain your evil, if you please.

  • i love this song!!! eleanor

  • TO ALL THE LOVELY GIRLS OUT THERE, XXXXXXX colindaleradiosutch

  • @colindaleradiosutch

Thx...wow nice to read a positive comment ;D Cheers!

  • 11 people did NOT like this song!? Morons!!

  • @34153353 they never saw a calender. Especially a callender with a calender girl in it. Not to mention one with 12 Calender girls in it. Oh how they have been tortured so! lol

  • 1962--I was in Berlin, Germany (West Berlin back then) just getting to move from Germany to Italy, and this song was a big hit with the European population. one of my favorites back then.

  • from which film is the pic at 0:35 ?

  • @stiviefootball American Graffiti

  • I enjoy murdering former lovers to this song.

  • @mcprorck and 1 person is a complete retard because he thinks hes cliche and annoying comment is gonna be popular because he writes something everyone else has written in another way: get a life because nothing gives a shit about who clicked the dislike button and stop referring to justin bieber its an insult to good music

  • @zerty3

    lol:-)

  • Neil Sedeka; one of the original doo-wopers!!

  • Unfortunately I was just a glint in my daddies eye in 1962, born 15 years later, but love this type of music , espcially from the 50/60's

  • Where was I in '62? Not born yet but still love this kind of music!

  • @pauliewalnutsful nor me neither, like 15 years later but still love music of the 50's/60's

  • I like the video. I remember that movie " American Graffiti ". Really great movie that captured the magic of the that era. I also thought that really hot looking blond chick that went out on a date with the nerdy looking little nerdy guy. I was really pulling for him to win her heart over. I guess because I was a nerdy guy to, and it gave guys like me hope, that maybe I could actually hook up with someone like her. That usually only happens in the movies. But, she was so sweet to him.

  • i liked this song when i was a youngster now im older its still a great song.

  • I wish I was born in those times they looked much simpler than today and the music was better than today's to be honest and I thank my great grandmother for getting me into these times she was in

  • i love hearing this song i wish i could of been in those times they were alot better then now so much enjoyment with music, half of the music today that is played is nothing compared to these great oldies they will never come back. I will keep the memories of dancing and singing along with my grandmother who i miss very much she just recently passed it isnt the same with out her.

  • @ChefNyc09 I'm sorry for your loss

  • 100 people will die hearing this song, and little that know they were dreaming.

  • 'love this song and american graffiti!! 'saw the film for the first time this past summer (im a teen) and it was awesome!! :) i wish i was around in the 50s and 60s cuz i love the music from this era!!

  • Great song, also listen to the Swedish version. Totally kickass!

  • I love my sweet fing calender girl...even though I'm single...yeah, yeah!

  • It's awfully corny but I like this song.

  • How did they make this music? It's so simple, but so perfectly heartfelt. 50s and 60s music is the party.

  • good song one of my favs

  • Love the xylophone in this one

  • A Top 5 hit for Neil Sedaka in February 1961. It was his biggest hit to date in his career. He would have 3 #1's in the future, though. One of the all-time greats.
