Nickelodeon claims to be a child base company,and from what i seen of Rango their trying to base it on an adult audience,children have plenty of time to grow up, and a movie like Rango takes away their innocence,they'll have plenty of time to see how the world is, they don't need to be educaticated by a childrens movie of all things,i think Nickelodeon needs to get back to basic, back to family values!
@sullivan884 personally I think there were more real life adult themes like death and threat in kids shows and movies when I was a child 20 years ago, than there are now
i was surprised,i took my son to watch this movie,and there was alot of cussing in the movie,a nickelodeon movie,i think it's sad they have to stoop down to that level.
@sullivan884 They didn't stoop down too that level, they rised from the demeaning nature of the mainstream and gave the audience a dark and excellent movie. and about swearing; Forbidden Fruits are more attractive to children. This argument is used to refute the idea of censorship for children. As soon as you tell a child that they are not to look at something you are sending them a signal. To the child this signal looks like, "read me now" instead of, "stay away from me."
I saw the movie yesterday it was actually really good but a little trippy for kids, and theres a easter egg in it. In the scene where rango is in the accident you see a car with the two characters from fear and loating in las veges.
