i've been doing some research about this kindle and there are a couple of things I dont understand. i will choose if to buy one ore not when they are answered:

firstly: can one load files from the computer simply hooking it up?

secondly: will it read pdf files that i have loaded from my computer?

i have a kindle 3 (pervious model to this) and love it!! main things that turn me off this is i can have my guidebooks, there is no keyboard which will make searching/annotating long and it does not give you a plug in the box like my one came with? just my opinion tho, i like the new look :D

Hey Jon! I didn't get answered in your last kindle video. First, I was wondering if there is a keyboard accessory for it. Second, I have heard all this talk about the kindle fire and how it had android capabilities and was wondering if either the kindle touch or this kindle would have that same feature. As you can see I'm new to the world of kindles.

@IamiPodman69 I can answer you questions. No keyboard adapter, it has an onscreen virtual keyboard that should serve the purpose of the basic typing you would need to do on it, and no, the touch nor this kindle have android. The only kindle with android will be the kindle fire. In my personal opinion, I don't see the need in the kindle touch. If you just want something to read on it, this will work just fine(I got mine sent next day air the day it came out).

@Tiggz1551 it really doesn't. I ordered this one because I sold my kindle 3 when I got a touchpad thinking I could just read on it, but realized staring at an lcd screen for that long hurt my eyes, so I got one of these. I really like the size of it.

@zoics1 You'd probably better of getting her the Kindle Touch 3G or Keyboard 3G. That way, she'll never have to use a PC to buy the books, set up WiFi, and use the dpad for character input (and in the case for Touch, navigation).

Note, the 3G is ONLY to buy and download books/newspapers/magazines. No web browsing. And its free.
