I remember being very disappointed by Hillary's behavior during the campaign. Looking back I believe she could have been less indignant and less bitter. It was an historic time and she will, unfortunatley, come across as disgruntled. I do agree with Whoopi on this one.
What made me upset is that Sen. Clinton didn't quash those thoughts among her supporters (strongly enough that is) that they should not vote for Sen. McCain - that it should never have been about voting for her, but voting for her ideals and ideas. I think to vote for a person in such an important election, rather than to vote among such a sharp contrast in the two sides, and to pick the Republican just because they could not have Clinton, is just wrong. And racist too, for some.

I was just flipping through the channels Friday (10/31) evening and I came upon Oprah's show. She and her guests were discussing early and electronic voting. One guest joked about "voting early and often." I wonder just how often some people are voting.
In retrospect, it is still very clear that the Clintons lost a lot of respect from the voting constituency; Hillary had best hope that the Dems claim D.C., because if they don't she can pretty much kiss her political career goodbye. She will be remembered by so many as the one who divided the party and put self before country.
Maybe in the beginning I can see that, but especially after the convention when she came out and gave him the nomination from New York, and therefore the nomination, I don't see how anyone can say anything against her now. She accepted defeat with a great deal of class.

I remember being very disappointed by Hillary's behavior during the campaign. Looking back I believe she could have been less indignant and less bitter. It was an historic time and she will, unfortunatley, come across as disgruntled. I do agree with Whoopi on this one.

What made me upset is that Sen. Clinton didn't quash those thoughts among her supporters (strongly enough that is) that they should not vote for Sen. McCain - that it should never have been about voting for her, but voting for her ideals and ideas. I think to vote for a person in such an important election, rather than to vote among such a sharp contrast in the two sides, and to pick the Republican just because they could not have Clinton, is just wrong. And racist too, for some.

Once his positions & abilities became evident, most switched to support him, as did many whites. I campaigned for Obama & I can tell you I have met many people, black & white, who voted for Sen. Clinton, who were well informed on the issues and voted for her based upon her positions, no matter you might assume.

Morganjane21, I love Hillary, but she was not stabbed in the back. Not all blacks supported Hillary, just like all women did not support Hillary. Both camps played games that negatively impacted their campaign. Bill Clinton's big mouth, as well as "Clinton fatigue and baggage" destroyed her campaign from the start. While I think its BS, many folks HATE Hillary. You might find Obama unfit, but he beats four more years of Bush III AKA McCain.

Hillary ran a good campaign but it wasn't good enough. Clinton only wins the popular vote if you exclude the caucus states. Obama won & won fairly. And as far as the unqualified comment, Obama has been in elected office longer than Clinton. The her campaign slung more mud than Obama. Remember those comments about Jesse Jackson winning S. Carolina and RFK. Just b/c Obama did not hand the nomination over doesn't mean he treated her campaign unfairly.

how about letting hillary take some responsibility for her loss. it was close, but she didn't pull it off. she could have, but she didn't.
the poor clintons? they were the most feared family of the democratic party. vengeful and manipulative. that's why they thought the nomination was in the bag and the supers would fall in line. richardson's defection was a BOLD move.
you should take a closer look at how she lost the support of the kennedy's, a long-time friend of theirs.
