  • Uh, oil typically doesn't "dry". Especially not in a few minutes.

  • I have that cleaning tool.. SO Great.. It really cleans my chain pretty well.

  • Hahhaah that guys voice. Nice vid though thanks!

  • Napoleon Dynamite cleaning a bike chain.

  • This advises I leave the lube on after it's applied, which is contrary to another I just watched wherein the narrator warns against leaving the full amount of lube on as it is excessive. Thanks for the gear shift distribution tip and a demonstration on the used of the chain cleaner.

  • Don't dribble lube on the whole chain, you put a dot of lube on each pivot point on each side of the chain, run the chain a few times, then wipe off the excess. Takes a little longer but is the right way to do it.

  • PLEASE HELP MY CHAIN CAME OFF FROM THE CIRCLE THINGY I HAVE NO FRIKIN IDEA HOW TO PUT BACK!! HELP!

  • Nice job!

  • how much is that machine cost???????? (the blue one):))

    thx

  • @tibuflavius ~$20. Go to Spadout.com and search from "Cyclone"

  • @tibuflavius ~$20. Spadout.com & search for "Cyclone"

  • quick and easy. Thanks.

  • You can't clean chain with that thing. You saturate the chain with W40, than run chain through a towel, than lubricate well, than rub through towel again and you're done.

  • @garagecrap you never put wd40 on a chain moron

  • @garagecrap

You must have one fucked up chain then. You never use WD-40 to clean your chain or lubricate it.

  • @dahgutone 5 year old chain, ride almost daily, chain is as new.

  • @garagecrap

    Here we go...

    WD-40 is a solvent, NOT a lubricant.

    WD-40 says it's a lubricant, it's a lubricant, blah blah blah.

    It's not...

When it was developed in the 1950s, it was used as a rust preventative solvent and de-greaser on missile parts.

It will actually strip away any existing lubricant and leave your drivetrain dry.

You don't have to believe me. It's your bike, your chain, your money.

  • @dahgutone I 100% agree. if you read my comment, I say use wd40 for cleaning, than lubricate.

  • the way he discriminantly lubed the chain is incorrect. you want to put a small drop of lube onto each link. when you have covered every link you run the chain a few times then wipe out any excess lube from the chain. This way you prevent the dirt and debris from latching onto your chain and wearing out the chain and transmission prematurely.

  • nice thanks

  • No problem. Thanks for the feedback.
