@shanarah06 true. just because someone has a father of bad reputation doesn't mean he or she should be subjected to murder. all the child needs is proper upbringing from her biological or adoptive parents. what matters the most is that the child is given the chance to live and that he or she is placed in the right hands and not people who would give the child a bad example.

I think its a bit judgmental of people in more well off countries to say that abortion is one thing or another. Abortion happens worldwide and you don't know the circumstances usually so before making accusations of how a mother doesn't care or she should care or how she should be, you would not be saying that in her shoes because no one knows about her circumstances but she alone. I think that too often people in developed nations run their mouths without realizing the implications of birth

I'm not saying that only a certain group of economic standing abort more than others or it justifies abortion, I'm just saying be a little more understanding. I wouldn't be saying the same hateful words about someone I know my daughter or friend who had to abort because of circumstances. I don't pretend to know their wounds, but I try to understand their pain because abortion is never an easy choice no matter the person.

@luke Yes it is. Life is not always better than death. You think "killing" an unborn fetus that can't feel pain or possess any kind of sentience or emotion is worth more than a real woman and pretend that the fetus, once it becomes a baby, will be better off in poverty, starvation, wars. Even if the child lives i a good home, what if the parents don't care? What about the state of the world? Who would ever want to see the extinction of all the beautiful wildlife and habitats? Death is easier.

@lukethreesix I understand you see it that way, but that's not how it is. A fetus doesn't have a mind formed yet. It can't feel pain, emotions or thoughts. If you say that to a real kid, they'd be scared, begging, crying, etc. They'd want to live because their minds exist and want to live. Killing a thing before it has a mind/psyche/soul doesn't harm. Also, I've seen many stories where adoptees wish they'd have been aborted. Try typing in "I wish I was aborted" and see how many results you get.

@1956warden It's you who has not kept with science. There are chemicals in the brain that sedate the fetus until birth most of the time, to prevent premature birth due to fetal movements. It's still never conscious until birth, even if your dubious claim is to be believed. Not if I wish to live. If I fight back, that's because I wish to live, just as any fish, cat or dog does. A fish isn't worthless. Salmon have been studied and shown to have differing personalities.

It's so sad to see that these girls feel there is no other way out but to damage their bodies and destroy another's. Abortion there is illegal for a reason. It should not even be considered.
