theres nothing wrong with having the sheet music for the chord changes and the basic tune but this guy exells in the impro and he obviously knows the tune inside out .....Nice reverb on the horn ....great stuff .

can u give me advice on saxophone difficculty? I mean in general musical instrument terms is the sax hard to learn say compared to the piano? I have no music background but i know they say some instruments may be harder or easier than others please elaborate

sax is probably one of the easier instruments in terms of difficulty. i play piano, alto and soprano sax, guitar, ukulele, and tried many others. my advice is to figure out what music you like and go with an instrument in that direction. once you find the passion for the music you will master any instrument. sax is amazing and really not too terribly difficult to sound very good on.

I don't think there's much of a sheet music to find... The melody and accompaniment are really simple. Apart of that there's a lot of improvisation and the harmony, which one can do by themselves...

Harmony is indeed the only tricky part, but you could take any guitar chords, and just record it on a synthesizer or something...

it IS advertising, but it looks like he's really playing. He is taking breaths at the exact spot on video even for little flutters, that if faked would require memorizing some dudes entire solo, but thats kind of pointless for this, he's not so amazing as to really doubt its validity. He sounds good for a 'smooth' sax player. If the dude busted out some Trane while you didn't see his fingers... THEN I'd be calling BS :)
