When that chlorine molecule moves down from the stratosphere down to the ozone layer it collides with Ozone (O3) and steals one Oxygen molecule and turns itself into a chlorine monoxide, while the ozone has lost an oxygen molecule, thus, it is now oxygen. After, the highly reactive atomic oxygen component leaves the chlorine monoxide and the both go on to collide with and destroy more ozone molecules (O3). The chlorine molecule repeats this thousands of times before it exits.

To continue a bit: we need ozone as protection vs. UV-B radiation (the harmful radiation). Without the ozone layer, we would be dead. That is true. Not that we would lose our oxygen: ozone is made of trioxide, 2 ozone molecules are made of 3 oxygen molecules with the help of sunlight/heat. WIll the ozone dissapear: we get instead the oxygen back.

The sun is never over Antarctica. The suns rays never directly over the south pole. Anyone ever think that there is supposed to be a hole in the Ozone?? Anyone ever think that the Ozone gets bigger and smaller naturally and we just happen to discover the hole in the Ozone during a period of growth?

We've only had the technology to measure the hole in the Ozone for about 50 years. That's a pretty small period of time if you think about how old the planet is and how old the ozone is.duh!

Secondly: the chlore is the main destroyer of ozon (80% of the total dissapearence of the ozon at Antartica is directed to chlore).

Thirdly: thanks to the Montreal Protocol, the use of gasses in products which have the chlore ingredient is forbidden. So mankind use it lesser.

So i think the ozone hole will shrink after 2020.

The very nature of science is to experiment in order to prove a theroy wrong. Only after countless trials do we begin to think a theroy to be true.

It's a fine question to ask but the fact is that scientifically the answer lies thousands of years in the future. Only then will we have enough evidence to make any claims at truth.
