You have to understand that 2 barrels given are based of the different tuning used in Europe and America. They do not put 2 in to help the tuning. Also due the model you describe is still based off of a standard clarinet. What they have done is no different than other companies have accomplished with changing the bore and adjusting the length of the instrument.

I use Vandoren they last about two weeks if you take really good care of it.
