Every Honeywell fan or air cleaner I've ever owned broke. I bought only two and the four others were all warrantee replacements. They failed too. I don't trust anything made by that company. I've never owned a Honeywell generator so take my comment for what it is.
My 2000 does not start, it takes 40 - 50 pulls, I changed the spark plug, fresh fuel. If I manually put the throttle to full fuel then I can get it to start in 10 pulls. I e-mailed Honeywell with no help. This one is on it's way back.
Their is a SF3000ER made buy XG china same manufacture as this generator. The latest model is over 4kva though it has the 150cc motor ..I can tell you the 3.5kva dosn't have the speed to rev up fast enough even for some devices bellow 2000w start up power this is why honda ect eg.3000i use larger engine making it less portable though much better..you buy this 3000er your looking at overload and while lacking fuse protection not very good.
Not bad for $400-it's right on the limit of what one would want to carry by yourself..runs a small 4500btu A/C,campsite lights and battery chargers, etc.Kinda cheezy construction, not as nice as a Honda EU2000,-but at half the price, its just fine. The plastic choke lever likes to get stuck behind the red plastic outer shell when you move it to the 'on' position, but no big deal. It's not too loud like a Briggs 4-stroke,and doesn't have the 2-stroke screamin noise, either.
Yes! This generator was pretty heavy and I must say worked as a charm!!
I was able to connect my laptop, stereo (not mine but a weird neighbor), and a commercial printer. It last for the full 5 or more hours.
I am a photographer and I took pictures of everyone in the playground. I was able to edit the pictures with the laptop (connected to the generator), and print it on a high commercial printer (connected to the generator).... I spent the $ 299 and made $ 674 that night!
