We have this guy at work. His name is Yuri. He is a former weightlifter from the Ukraine. He is not Russian--don't ever call a Ukrainian a Russian. He is 6ft and 300 lbs with arms bigger than my legs. He is built like one of those guys from "The World's Strongest Man" competitions. He has such a gentle disposition. For some reason a lot of big guys are like that.

@guyfihi when nobody dares fuck with you, and every time you get angry everyone fears you, you tend to not want to show a side where people would run away. Everyone who isnt just a complete dick is nice to you because why anger the guy that could throw you through a wall(and why be a dick to anyone really). Over time you have no reason not to have a sweet disposition and you so you do. its just part of your personality.

He really was a Gentle Giant, I also read that when they were shooting on cold days, Robin Wright would complain that her head was cold. So Andre would put his hand on her head, to keep her warm.

The only incident I've even heard of with Andre is him roughing up a cameraman. Probably a Papparazzi that provoked him to get an "angry" shot.

A person's true character is demonstrated by how they react when someone else is in trouble. Helping someone overcome a fear of heights. That says it all really. And if it doesn't, than just consider how he passed on a broadway play he really wanted to see, because he did not want to inconvenience those sitting behind him.

@h0bbitatheart Well... Yes and no. There are also stories about him being horrible to people. Before you judge him though, consider this: Everywhere he went he was considered a freak. People were always starring at him and treating him like he was a freak or an alien. Wouldn't you get pissed off once in a while?
