  • So, how do you give it a 21st century update? I vaguely recall it.

  • Jeez man, talk about bloody memories! This show was still on tv in the mid '70s in Australia.

  • Mr. D's (Bruce Gordon) "da Man!"

  • With "The Monkees," one of my fav shows in Fall 1966--was disappointed lasted only one season.

Loved Wendell saying in every episode"...But Mr. D?" Mr. D would remark, "Goodbye, Wendell." then Wendell would open a window, jumped several stories, and yet lived everytime to later tell about it!

  • this show seems to have endless running in it. hahaha

  • He's wanted by the most powerful crime syndicate in the country........The Legion Of Doom.

  • He woulda done better if he got a car

  • great music

  • oh my god.

  • "Run Buddy Run" (CBS) ran opposite of "I Dream Of Jeannie" (NBC) and "Iron Horse" (ABC)..."Jeannie" was the ratings winner here! I would also love to have all 17 "RBR" episodes on DVD someday:-)

  • So would I! I've NEVER seen the last episode, which I think ran on Monday, 5 December 1966 and repeated on Monday, 2 January 1967. Buddy Overstreet finally goes home.

I went gaga over this series back in the fall of 1966, until my grandparents switched to Iron Horse.

  • Hope it wasn't full of smoking like Get Smart. Smoking kills.

  • Yep. Many of the people involved with this show were involved with "Get Smart" as well. I just bought a DVD with four episodes, probably public domain episodes, of the show. It has the same silliness as "Get Smart." I hope whoever owns the rights to the show releases it on DVD.

  • Of course I am talking about an official DVD release with all 17 episodes.

  • I never saw the epilogue of this series, which was Monday, 2 January 1967. It does have an ending.

  • I remember this show! I used to carry a book satchel to school and I would imagine I was Buddy, running with my briefcase.

  • I loved this show as a kid. I hope somebody can get this on DVD. Great opening.

  • Back in late '66, this was my favorite show!!!

  • The narrator is none other than Ted Knight, who appeared as a guest star in producer Talent Associates' "GET SMART" the season before {"Stakeout On Blue Mist Mountain"}...

  • I knew I recognized that voice. Thanks.

  • In een Turks bad hoorde hij de geheimzinnige woorden "Kleine kip..." Nu weet hij te veel!

    Lorre & Bolly

  • I remember this show from my youth! Other shows like F troop and Hogans Heroes. You Tube clips from this lot are great!

  • Ok, I'm getting a real "Get Smart" vibe with this one .. the music sounds somewhat similar and I would guess the entire plot of the show had some of the same wackiness...
