  • this song is supposed to be sad, and they messed up on the lyrics.

  • LOVE this cover!

  • Better than the original

  • JOY ELECTRIC!!! WHY DID YOU EVER LEAVE MY LIFE! I loved you when I was younger..and I still love your music today :)

  • Love this song and Joy Electric... after hearing this song (and it was on here) for the first time I immediately bought the CD... great stuff!

  • Damn, this is TIGHT!!!! nice...

  • wow jus discovered this dude! sweet!

  • Joy Electric's music if pure perfection!! Genius! I've always been a fan of his ever since he first started. :D Thumbs up to Ronnie Martin!

  • Ronnie Martin is arguably the most underrated musical genius of the day. Countless records now and he is still growing and fresh. I've been a huge fan since I was shipped Christain Songs by mistake.

  • @Iplaymusicgoodly

I agree! He isn't just an underrated Christian artist...he's an underrated artist period.

  • Ronny Martin is a genuine musical genius. I've been hooked to his work since "We Are the Music Makers". Beautiful, innocent, powerful...

  • AMAZING VIBE I GET FROM THIS SONG is completely fricking blissful.

    @Dubster80

i totally agree with you there and I know exactly how you feel!!

  • great cover

  • Was this inspired by the Pet Shop Boys cover or done without knowledge of that cover?

  • "Favorites at Play" is one of JE's finest records ever, if not his very finest. :D

  • a christian star

  • Brilliant!! Hooray for J.E.!! =^.^=

  • I enjoy listening to joy electric. His music is so innocent. Sometimes his tracks make me feel like an innocent child again. When I say that I mean times when things were a little easy and the joys of life weren't so hard to grasp. The songs Ronnie makes brings me back to a state when things are less hectic and just put me in a mood that's "child" like(not retarded gay like).

  • @Dubster80 This explains why no matter what song I listen to by Joy Electric makes me laugh. The music is good, although some is odd, it's still good. And I don't know what it is about it, but it just makes me laugh. And then I feel like i've been brought back into a simpler time when things were so hectic, busy, angry, stressful or depressing. I agree with your comment. It's innocent, and makes me feel like a child again. It makes me feel better.

  • @SirDrillian I was first turned on to Joy Electric when I was in high school so I'm right there with you with what you say. His music immediately brings me back to the days when my worst problems were if I was going to pass a test tomorrow. Man what is this now like 15 years later and Ronnie is still kicking butt. I used to be a big fan of Starflyer 59 so when they did Brothers Martin I bought that immediatly. I really hope they do another album under the Brothers Martin name.

  • I like this better then the original one.

  • I'd like to see you try do something even 1/10 this good. Programming synths takes a LOT of practice and hard work.

  • Oh no!

You brought my lack of talent into the argument!

    I now have no comeback!

    Shucks.

  • that's not what I meant. I mean that people who have some casual experience with electronic instruments can't just churn out a song with no effort. It's really difficult to make odd noises like Joy Electric does and still keep it all unified in a song.

  • great song!
