  • Brilliant movie. Glad to see it shown as segments on Youtube.

  • what's the music at the start? I just love it! :D

  • It's the "Charleston" by James P. Johnson, not the other one - even more popular than this - by Paul "the King of Jazz" Whiteman......

  • @saebrusadin78 Thanks :D

  • Susan Sontag: "Whites are the cancer of history"

  • Is 'Zelig' really about Jewish people trying to be something other than Jewish? To "fit in"? (And whatever is wrong with that? As the song goes...."Anyway you figure, it's tough to be a_____, but its harder to be a Jew...ooo." Wanting a better life is something that should NOT be criticized!

  • @UTAOUB ok where did you get that from?

  • yn mi vida no es uan mentira.

  • Este documental es mi vida, pero sin una cámara que lo documente.

  • can someone tell me wut diz movie is about!!!

  • I watched the first 20 minutes of this movie and turned it off when I realized it's THE SAME FUCKING JOKE told over and over.

  • Clever and ahead of its time. Anticipates Forrest Gump by over a decade.

  • chameleon chameleon dance!

  • "You have such reptile eyes.....eyes like a liazrd that weave a spell"

  • This movie was gr8t i lov'd it i watch'd a whiole a ago not knowing the name until i xaught it again last night

  • There needs to be more movies like these.

Reminds me of Peter Jackson's mockumentary about a New Zealand film pioneer, everyone was fooled, and when they found out they were fooled, they were not at all happy. LOL!

Great way to get average young people watching black and white, too.

  • This is a wonderful mockumentary with serious undertones. I finished watching it 30 minutes ago and it's one of my favorites from Woody Allen.

  • that looks to me like two elephants making love to a men's glee club. he should make a sequel gilez= always out of place doin the opposite

  • that looks to me like two elephants making love to a men's glee club.

  • This is one of my absolute favorite movies ever! I just wish the whole thing were here. Frankly I'd buy it if I could find it anywhere, but I can't!

  • Deep Discount DVD has it

  • dis guise

  • Ha =x

  • You never hear from Orion pictures anymore.

  • Gracias a esta película empece a amar el cine, el genio de Allen no tiene calificativo, Zelig es simplemente brillante¡¡¡

  • Actually if people get their heads out of their butts you'll notice that almost all politicians are a posers and liars, none of them tell the truth.

  • Just once I'd like to hear how great a candidate is, not how bad his or her opponent is.

Anyway, keep your politics to yourself. This isn't the place.

  • Smit: I agree. You can't enjoy anything on YT it seems these days without trolls.

  • i saw the full video :D

  • Wonderful film.

  • One of my fave W. Allen with also ''Broadway Danny Rose'' I am a Woody fan.

  • In order for Allen to recreate photographs and film from that era. Allen used the actual camera's from those days.

  • This film is brilliant. The first time I watched it I happened to be flicking channels and came across Zelig by accident, thinking it was a documentary.

  • Yeah, same thing happened to me. I realized it was a movie when I recognized Woody Allen.

  • @midsummergirl

    whats this movie about?

  • @jesSILLYkimBOOTYxD

Hi, this film is a mockumentary about people that try and fit in, but Woody Allen takes this one step further with his 'extreme' character Zelig, who wants to be 'accepted' by adapting to whatever surrounding he's in. It's an interesting and funny film, that's if you like Woody Allen. I think his films are either ones you love or hate. There doesn't appear to be a middle-ground with him. Fortunately, I think his films are brilliant!

  • @midsummergirl thanksssssssssssss!

  • @jesSILLYkimBOOTYxD It's Allen's absurdist tale illustrating the consequences of not developing one's own individual character, but, rather, by going the opposite route and trying desperately to fit in. It's straight out of psychoanalyst Otto Rank's theory about how we individuate: by taking an opposite position from our parents, or our society, etc. It's like Rank's book "Will Therapy" seen through a comic lens (or glasses).

  • just what i was looking for. huge thanks.

  • Please upload more!!!

  • More! More.....!!!

  • He made some of this movie down the street from where I lived. LOL I saw him. He used a guy down the street from me in the movie! LOL!

  • where is woody?

  • More!

  • Great movie

  • one of the best movies ever

  • This and 'Love and Death' are inspired. This one, Zelig, I saw first on TV 12 years ago. When I was watching it my sister walked in and asked me about it. I said it was a documentary about a man who could physically change. She said: 'Really... he looks like Woody Allen, doesn't he?" :-)

  • what can i say? absolutely magical, amazing.

    best woody for me.

  • love this movie!
