  • When I was a youngster I had a Beany Cap Copter. You'd wind it up, push a button, off went the propeller, and you better hope the propeller didn't land on the roof of your neighbors house. Brings back memories, plus I forgot about Dishonest John, what a cad.

  • Looking Harecules Hare.

  • does anyone have a cecil stuffed ( doll ) . you could wrap him around your neck

  • i want a boat so i can call it "leakin lena"

  • At 2:16 Did Cecil say: "I'm too young to say shit" ..???

  • @TheNoisePolluter Nope... "I'm too you to say chest" just before that he said "... just like a Robin Redvest.... not Robin Redbreast

  • @TheNoisePolluter

  • nothing can stop me now..nya ah ahhhh

  • We want ragmop lol

  • nya-ha-ha! I say that all the time now, probably the best evil guy laugh ever.

  • if you listen to the Magpie, He will make a song that woody woodpecker makes and Cecil the Turtle cartoon was derived from this

  • Beany looks like he's either drunk or drugged up. lol

  • DCNY31279 he "Cecil the sea sick sea surpent" thats why!

  • Some episodes used the original, Woody Woodpecker theme. [Another well known 'net user, YouTuber, and cartoon fan, ThadK.,noted this as well.][Early Lantz composer DARRELL [sic] CALKER's eerie electric ortan descenind notes made up from that opening to Woody are used on Beany, some of the oldest stock music.]

By coincidence, another Lantz composer, CLARENCE E.WHHEELER<, got archived cues later on. There';s another Clampett-Lantz conneciotn, they both had space mice!

  • thanks, kappappa, great stuff!

  • Can I go back to 1962 for just one day??

  • Dishonest John reminds me of Snidely Whiplash.

  • "A talking matzo ball, huh?"

    Who writes this stuff?? Extraordinary!!

  • Beany copters were a lot of fun. The prop flew great and really high. Red cap, and came with one blue and one yellow propeller. They even had a secret compartment in the center of the prop. Strong spring though. Kind of dangerous fired at close range. I had two of these as a kid. The spring broke on the first one. Caps slipped away years ago, but still have the talking Beany doll downstairs. Ah memories!

  • I had the talking beanie doll too. remember it well, and I was like a toddler

  • Nya-ah-ahh~

  • Nya ah ah~

  • The dragon has nipples for nostrils... >.>;

  • you should see them being tickled in the intro!

  • Think of the load on the neck flying that way, and then the counter rotation without a tail rotor. I'll bet Beany's invention led to thousands of FAA accident investigations.

  • I'm sure they were still related to this show because in the late '80's they still sold these in rare places (in America) and I wanted one so badly to no avail.

  • As I recall, part of the reason for doing this episode are the specific instructions Beany gives on HOW to safely and correctly use the 'Beany Cap Copter' ("Always start on the ground, never even a chair. Always keep your feet on the ground."") -- because you could actually buy one in the store.

It's the same idea as when George Reeves had to do a PSA telling kids having a Superman cape wouldn't allow you to fly. Kids were getting seriously hurt jumping off rooftops.

  • 3:53

    Wahahahahah

    Nice cartoon!!!

  • i wanna see an episode where dishonest john has the dirty deeds done dirt cheap card. angus young watched this when he was little hence the song dirty deeds done dirt cheap. thats another weird inuendo for a little kids show too.

  • any 1 have the name of the episode

  • @cojoiscrazy same! if you find one please tell me! angus was the whole way i even found out about beany and cecil XD

  • I knew I didn't imagine this TV show!

  • I wish I still had my beany cap!

  • i just had a wild hair tonight, and wondered if YOUTUBE had Beanie & Cecil-will wonders ever cease? Great memories. Just one sacrilegious thought- with the way the crew talks & acts, the name of the boat sould be changed from the "leaking Lena" to the "Raging Queen"! "DJ, you dirty guy"!!!

  • There's some odd inuendos in Beany & Cecil.

  • Yeah, noticed that too.

  • (1:57) I think that's supposed to be a parody of "Peter Pan"

  • Dishonest John: one of television's great villains.

  • I love this show. :P

  • my gosh i was in kindergarten when i watched this...now i'm 43... where did time go??? LOL ! thanks for posting! great memories

  • Ben Hare, anyone? No, I don't have the adventures of ben hare and Harceles Hare, but does anyone have it?

  • I just LOVED Ben-Hare and Harecules Hare.

Anyone wish for a COMPLETE DVD set of Beany & Cecil?

  • Great childhood memory from the early 60's. Anyone remember Cecil singing the "Ragmop" song??

  • So distinctly, and he did it with pizazz.

  • Yep and the bit at the end where Cecil aks a policeman to arrest Dishonest Jon because,"What he does to me in next week's show is a crime!"

  • i love dishonest john laugh

  • I love the "Dance of the Reed Flutes" music

  • WHAT THE HECK!..lol classic

  • You know what I like to see is the very beginning of the Beany and Cecil shows. "The opener." That will be great to have someone to upload that :-)

  • This is better than 'Shrek.'

  • Awsome cartoon...

  • Freaky great...I love the voices, especially the skipper. Beanie sounds eerily like Michael Jackson.

  • Finally, my childhood favorite...wheres ragmop?

  • art!

  • This cartoon is insane. But I remeber it fondly.

  • I love this show. Dishonest John is one of my all-time favorite cartoon villians.

  • WOW! MINE TOO!
