  • Me and my friend MaryJane, was listening to this song, and i got goosebumps. maryjane also likes the song "tupelo Honey" by VanMorrison. Bless america, and the OCMS.

  • Incredible intonation..vocally and instrumentally. Well done boys...You did Bob excellently!

  • I'm a huge fan of Marley/reggae and a huge fan of blues/folk and these guys blended Soul Rebel with that folk touch so well. Really an awesome and talented band

  • I think this might be the most amazing tune I've heard yet by this band!

  • been too long since i've made my way to this vid...so smooth.

  • This is an awesome cover. So true to the original, but with a sweet banjo!

    Great song .

  • bless up!! OCMS!! i think Bob would have liked it!! very good version of BOB, there are a alot of cover's some not so good at all. but these guys are just great player's and obivouls listen'ers of him. and this is quite the version. the vocal's are great!!! it almost kinda soounds like peter and bunny doing harmony!!!

  • Usually I roll my eyes whenever I hear Bob Marley covers, but this one was done with true artistry and an obvious respect for the original song. But then, it's OCMS, true artists in their own right.

  • Good music transcends boundaries. One of the best Bob Marley covers I've ever heard from a folk band from Nashville.

  • absolutely amazing! This is roots

  • Everything from Secor and Marleys similar vocal ranges, to the backing harmony, to the banjo mimmicking a Reggae guitar shuffle makes this an excellent cover.

  • is this cover on one of their releases?

  • @garthpro dont thnk so, not that iv ever come across anyway

  • It is so amazing they are singing this live it sounds straight off a track.

    OCMS FTW

  • My 86 year old grandmother loved O.C.M.S., till she passed away in Feb. It reminded ov the music she grew up with, as we live in South Carolina!!

  • I saw them in Portland OR in oct 2008 where they did this song along with covering a song by Michael Hurley called Portland Water which i thought was kick ass hence the town I saw them in. I need to find a recording of that show

  • I saw these guys in London and they played this song. That pretty much sealed the deal for me on these guys. They're amazing.

  • If Bob Marley were still alive today and heard this he would probably be so happy and excited!

  • this was simply amazing bob would have been proud if he could have heard that cover

  • I close my eyes and hear this song played over slow views of a sundown on a civil war battlefield, then see a Reb band playing it in silouette...

  • thats nice and all. but this song is a bob marley song. and i dont think he had anything like that in mind...

  • Yes it's a Marley song, and no he didn't have that image in his mind. Old Crow's version conjured the image to my mind.

  • well right on then!

  • that banjo solo... my knee's just gave out...

  • Come back to Red Bank NJ.

  • ya mon.

  • Love you guys, so great! Please come up to New York State again so I can see you =-)

  • I saw them about a month ago in Charlotte NC. When they started playin this the place erupted. One of the best shows I've ever been to. Rock on Old Crow and rock on Bob Marley.

  • They make every thing they play sound awesome.

  • for a young boat captain/guide who likes these guys its nice to be fishing the Fla Keys and have this softly playing,in the background while looking at the beauty of the colors of the ocean,, is a real nice joy! Good to have some REAL music back on the scene again.

  • @BluezBro604 you got my vote bro 8-)

  • On Austin City Limits interview after the show Willie Watson when asked who their influences were replied: "Nirvana and Public Enemy".

  • Which is 100% true. I went to High School with him in the mid 90's.

  • I listened to the Marley version of this song for the first time today. I did not know it was a cover. I did not know Marley is an influence of theirs. I love how musicians can put their own flare to it and own it. Love the Old Crows and Bob Marley (in different ways).

  • sounds really good

  • Tis is the second bluegrass cover of a GONG classic I've seen, yo u guys do a great job man, I didn't know his music would sound so sweet wit bluegrass.

  • Wiilie Watsons voice is like no others'

  • Your telling me, TIMELESS! isn't it.

  • Love Bob Marley and OCMS. The fusion of American folk and Carribean folk (Marley deffinintly qualifies as that) is better than just about any other fusion of music styles. They work so well together.

  • nicely put

  • Great pics.
