  • How many delay pedals do you need? A good suggestion would be to strategically place a couple of buffers on that board; to help with the signal/ tone degradation. Another thing you might want to consider is using a Morley product (wha) at the beginning of the chain, as they drive long runs. Another good pedal I found to remedy the volume degradation is the MXR Micro Amp. Also, it doesn't matter when you're running this many pedals about 'true bypass;' it's still going to rob the tone.

  • If your volume pedal sucks tone then believe me you are having problems with it. Tone suckers need to go.

  • just look for a delay to toggle between presets . How about the M5? It's expression pedal controllable.

  • @timtheflyguy i have not used the M5 personally, but it looks like a lot of variety in a small box, probably a good buy in any case :) i can't vouch for the ease of use on it though, looks like it might not be as straight forward as the M9 or M13

  • I like the Idea of having the scenes set up where there's an effect waiting for you when you switch one off the other is on, but if the unit is a" tone sucker" than the convenience isn't worth it! I have some old 80's DOD pedals that work just fine , and a Digitech tsr 12 Rackmount that I used to use , but it is a pain trying to get a good preset. I guess I really just need a good delay that I could toggle between presets. I use the distortion on my amp)Mesa Boogie Trem o Verb) so maybe Jus

  • To God be the Glory! Great how you make sure to praise him ! Anyway, I am auditioning for a praise band, I havn't played in a long time , and I am looking for "my sound". I heard you say something about the Line 6 pedal, and was wondering what is bad about them . I was thinking of getting the M13, and be done, or do you think individual pedals are the way to go? Thank you and keep praising his name!

  • @timtheflyguy He deserves all the praise! but I'm sure you know that already :) if you are on a budget, and you have an amp you like, the M13 is an awesome place to start. i had one and it has soooo many options and features for what it costs. you could get one for around $350 or less if you want used (if you take the time to wait on ebay for a little while), you will also find that it will turn you on and off to certain effects because you can try them all!

  • @timtheflyguy i like my pedals because they all do their own things very well (much more expensive), whereas the M13 does a ton of things, and does them poorly/adiquately/well/very well. i LOVED the verbs and delays, modulation was great, didn't like the OD's/DIST's. however, if the verbs and delays and maybe a couple other things is all you're after, you could save space and $25-$50 and get the M9. all the same effects, a little less overwhelming with buttons and options. hopefully that helps!

  • Do you have trouble with the noise from the route 66 compression side? I just picked one up and it is unbearably noisy.

  • @mrcooldollars i actually am shipping that pedal away tomorrow lol, but yes, it got very noisy at higher sustain levels. i could avoid the noise if i kept the sustain control down, but even then it was never a silent compressor. i think besides the noise it is a decent compressor on a budget as long as you like the TS sound too. i actually only used it when i'd strum a chord that i wanted to get feedback from, then i'd turn it off immediately. i'm going to post another video with an update soon!

  • why not have delay before reverb ? but nice board

  • @JSprayaEntertainment there is a reason for this, though since i made this video i have moved my reverbs to the end of the chain (after delays), and the reason is that i like to have the last part of the sound to be rhythmic so if i'm playing a lead part with some reverb, the delay will still make the repeats pronounced and not washed by the verb. like i said though, i have opted for the other way because i want that nice reverberant wash more than the rhythmic quality of the delay in most cases

  • @bassandguitargreg

Thanks man! Appreciate the encouragement. I got a lot of inspiration from watching videos like this one, so I thought it would be worthwhile to post it! God bless!

  • legit, love seeing other worship leaders stuff :D God bless
