If a leak were to be sprung and vapor from the barrels were to come into contact with a pipe or random spark, it would result in a massive pressure-wave explosion. There would definitely be flame, but not hot enough to scorch anything. (maybe spelled saint) martins in newbrunswick with my family, we went down to the beach to have a balm fire! we always liked doing that! then, out of nowhere, a ship came out and it looked like it was shakeing and burning! and i have eyewitnesses! me, my brother, my mom, my aunt, and i think my other aunt and grandmother....ask any of us and its the same story! i will never forget that night!

I love ghost ship stories, especially that of the Mary Celeste (duh) Baychimo, Joyita, and Ourang Medan (though it is debatable if this one is factual)

On the Mary Celeste, I agree with the fear of fire/explosion theory. The crew probably abandoned ship from the fumes/smoke of the burning alcohol and took refuge in a dinghy they roped to the ship. The rope snapped (the snapped rope was still connected to the ship when it was found) and the ship (under full sail) blew away, leaving them fucked.

I can explain the titanic problem: two things one, they though that I new type of British steel was extremely strong which it was but in extreme cold it becomes very brittle which causes it to break easily the other thing was it had a series of water holding setups which were design to hold enough water that it wouldn't sink but also would stop the intake of more water the iceberg hit right in the wall between two of these wich brought in more water than it was supposed to.

I have watched so many documentaries on it and still no one knows.. so many theories, but to be honest, I don't think anyone will ever know what happened on that day..
