I would like to know if it hurts??? please respond someone

  • @AmericanGirlDoll1997 I sent you a personal message sweetie!

  • My girlfriend is going to have one on Monday morning. She's going through the same thing. We're hoping that the hospital will use the Laparoscopic method instead of the other method. She's a kick-ass girl, but when it comes down to surgery, she gets all worked up and worried....LOL

But we're praying for her, as we are praying for all those who are going to go through the same procedure. God Bless and speedy recovery to you.

  • I hope you're doing well. I had my GB out in June 2007 (no stones, 12% function). Overall I guess it was a good thing, although I still have "attacks" depending on what I eat. Digestive enzymes really help.

    Best of luck to you!

  • I've been paying for you and i will continue too. Stay strong hun!

  • I will be thinking about you :)

  • u will be in my thoughts and prayers. glad you are getting it taken care of. <3

  • Thank you for sharing this information even though you don't feel well. I just found out my best friend may have a gall bladder problem. I'm going to tell her to be more forward to her doctors because they are being weird about tests and stuff, and my friend, like you, feels that she already knows what the problem is. Thanks and I wish you the best of luck!

  • I had pain and problems for many years until my stones were discovered and I had my GB out. After this I had episodes of explosive diarhea, this is reported by many, many post-GB surgery patients.

FAT is the issue... it is the issue for forming stones and it is the issue for recovery... keep sat fats low, very low!

  • I'm glad you are having your surgery quickly so you won't be in pain much longer! On the brighter side, you'll be a little lighter with no more gallbladder..lol ;) See it's just helping you lose weight this week.. <3

  • LOL! I was thinking the same thing. Also I will need to be on liquids and then slowly bring food back into my diet. I am hoping for a good loss this week. Not the best way to do it but, I will take what I can get.

  • What a lesson is nutrition and health. Wow - I find all of this fascinating.

I am so sorry that you're in pain and I hope your surgery goes well and you recover quickly. <33

  • I told my husband yesterday that I want him to record me coming out of recovery and also continue to record when I can't. I really want to show the process as much as possible. It has been hard for me to find good information from a personal perspective. Your support really helps!

    Thanks Shant!!

  • I had my GB out last week and was home that afternoon with no problem at all. I had 2 stones the size of Golf Balls my surgeon said and my GB was inflamed so hoping I'll feel much better physically now as I'd had attacks for 6 yrs. I've had no pain as I have medicine and just some swelling around my naval.

  • gOOD LUCK

  • You are blessed to have such nice doctors. I was supposed to have the laposcropy surgery when i had mine removed, but once the inccesions were made and they got in there, my gallbladder had already grown to much so i had to be cut open. I think i was in there for 3 days, the removal of the drain tube was the worst that i could really say. Just let go and let your husband help you. Good luck but it sounds like your in great hands. My doctor had no bed side manner, LONG STORY :). Take care.

  • My doctor has no bed side manner either. I have had to push for everything and I am hoping it won't come back to bite me. I am prying that the open surgery doesn't happen but, my gallbladder is already inflammed so there is a chance.. Thanks for your support and I will continue to video this experience as much as possible.

  • We're thinking about you sista!

  • My sister had her gall bladder removed. If you have laposcropy your recovery will be amazingly quick . My sister became a vegan after surgery because her doctor said either lower her cholesterol through diet, or she would have to take Liptor. She was able to lower her cholesterol through not eating meat or dairy. I think other people will find your videos very comforting as they face the same issues. Good luck. Don't worry.

  • Thank you so much. I am hoping to continue eating the way I have recently. no flour, sugar, msg, aspartame, dairy.

I am also thinking about cutting out red meat after this. Thanks for the suggestion and I may end up down that road.

  • Take good care of yourself.

  • good luck, i hope everything goes well!

  • Good luck with your procedure. Your in my prayers. I hope the recovery period is fast for you!
