It's so sad that the Wild Beasts were not nominated for the Mercury Prize. Quite an outrage really. Just proves how insular these panel judges can be. Even Adele commented that she gives a nod to idie band the Wild beasts. The nominated members from 'Everything Everthing' were gutted as well. What a shame!!

I have only been listening to Wild Beasts for a couple of weeks, but i have to say, I've never heard a more talented set of guys. They're absolutely amazing, and while part of me is upset that they aren't as recognized as they should be, I wouldn't want them to go super mainstream and get potentially destroyed by greedy businessmen.

i was watching jools holland and saw these guys and brought this album as i watcing oline. i love them - they are just so great and its an album that every track i just love. im an artist an on my way to the studio (and work love to do art as a careerand if for pay but it doesnt) anyway i drop my daughter off and drive on with this so loud and my daughter loves it- i brought a music mag the other day and they said top albums to get are wild beast and beastie boys and i have both brillant !! xx

@water4sure I didn't think they would stick to a formula, and never expected that from them. Limbo Panto and Two Dancers are each very different but both beautiful and mind-blowing. While Smother isn't terrible in my opinion, it isn't mind-blowing, regardless of the stellar reviews. It just doesn't hold that same quality that drew me to them in the first place and isn't as drenched in emotion as their first two albums were for me. Still love them but expected something different from Smother
