Dead Space is like a futuristic Resident Evil. Man.... I remember when I was like 9 yrs old, the resident evil games used to creep the shit out of me, and I would have nightmares, but no now that I'm grown up I'm used to the Resident Evil games. But now, Dead Space is giving me that same old creepy feeling I used to have for Resident Evil when I was young. Hopefully, when I become older I'll be able to get used to the horrors of Dead Space.

No, we have not seen Issac yet and I doubt that we will. The reason being that he knows nothing of this. If he did, he wouldn't be so surprised when he arrives at the USG Ishimura to the sight of these beasts.

Actually, he is a space engineer from CEC (Concordance Extraction Corporation). He, along with two other engineers are sent to the USG Ishimura after CEC receive a distress call from the ship. Issac splits up with his comrades at the start of the game to investigate the situation.

Quite right, these comics serve as a prequel to the game, and the upcoming "Downfall" shows what happened before Clarke's arrival.

Well, they have some sort of laser cutters. Check out Issue #1 when the nurse is cut in half by one. Also, take a look at Isaac's weaponry if you ever get to watching some game play videos of Dead Space.

Not necessarily true. Neumann says that "bullets bounce off of them" This means that humanity hasn't given up on the primitive weapons, the pistols and fire axe being Case in Point. But yes, plasma cutters are seen in the series too. Tell you the truth, I wouldn't be surprised if they had a shotgun like weapon thrown in.
