The short answer is boredom. I know it is impossible to break someone of their religious convictions through the arena of YouTube comment wars, however I just like to argue.
I like to argue also, I guess that is why I like Christian apologetics.And by the way how do I search my soul if it doesn't exist. Maybe if you are that bored you should get a hobby or read a book!
I put "soul" in quotations. And I'm always reading, I've read every "holy book" in existence as well as all the apocrypha.
To your point, if I were a Christian I would probably be one of the annoying ones. I would be like Ray Comfort and go around interviewing random college kids (who are NOT studying evolution) and pretend that proves a point.
I am not a big fan of annoying Christianity but to some just being polite and sharing Jesus with them sounds to them like yelling with a bull horn. But I cannot deny the life I had before Christianity and the life I have now. And then I go outside and look around and say somebody made this place, I mean it would seem to take more faith to believe in nothing created everything than to believe that a God created everything. I don't claim to have answers for anyone other than myself.

But because God first loved us in Christ, we then love him in repenting.

God told him he had already put away his sin. It is the grace of God's love upon a soul that works true repentance. If you are repenting, believing, it is but the evidence of God grace working in you.

I always benefit from the exhortations at "i'll be honest!" I hope to God that i will always be a doer of the Word and not a hearer only. There are many who are deceived; I agree with you that people can have much 'head knowledge' of religion but themselves not be converted.
Our prioities has been lost...We need to get back into the real relationship with our savior Jesus Christ...What we think or do has very little meaning, what Christ is and should always be prioits..We need to change our thinking...
A great testimony to how Christians should view our priorities in life. I was down the same road as yourself for so many years, but God has graciously shown His mercy on me and given me a new heart. I will say it's a constant daily struggle, but it has also taught me not to put my trust in myself to be perfect.
Reading his Word everyday is very important and I can definitely tell when I miss a day how my mind can wander. We may not all be as radical, but it should be an obvious change.
I know it's senseless to ask, but does this count for music too? I don't mean music with evil lyrics (like from AC/DC,Marilyn Manson etc.) but "normal" music, lyrics about things all of us can relate to, like love, friendships etc. Not all "wordly" singers have bad songs. And I can't always listen to christian music, but music is very important to me and there are many good, also encouraging songs, from secular singers. Is it also a sin to listen to them?

Absolutely hobbies are great I have hobbies in which I use to bring glory to God. What this guy may be saying is using hobbies for the glory of man. Let us use our hobbies as an oppurtunity to bring glory to God.

It is very easy to be misunderstood when explaining the connection of faith and works. It is clear that we are saved by grace through faith not by works...But works do matter. We are not saved BY doing good deeds HOWEVER, we are saved TO do good deeds. Works, fruit, a changed life is the EVIDENCE and RESULT of a TRUE CONVERSION. Hence, no changed life...then no evidence or fruit of a true conversion.
Amen. So many people think that good works alone will save them, but that isn't quite so. If you have TRUE faith, good works will almost automatically be born from it as proof. True faith really does change people as they turn away from sin... and what a beautiful change it is :]

It is very easy to be misunderstood when explaining the connection of faith and works. It is clear that we are saved by grace through faith not by works...But works do matter. We are not saved BY doing good deeds HOWEVER, we are saved TO do good deeds. Works, fruit, a changed life is the EVIDENCE and RESULT of a TRUE CONVERSION. Hence, no changed life...then no evidence or fruit of a true conversion.

Amen. So many people think that good works alone will save them, but that isn't quite so. If you have TRUE faith, good works will almost automatically be born from it as proof. True faith really does change people as they turn away from sin... and what a beautiful change it is :]

Wow. That was a much-needed exhortation. It hit me hard when you asked, "What if Tim Conway was next to you? What if Paul Washer was next to you? What if JESUS CHRIST was next to you?" I look at people like Tim Conway and Paul Washer, and I feel ashamed... convicted. Yet, I'm not to compare myself to them, but to CHRIST. God help me! How much more convicted and ashamed should I be!
