funny how these "cult/underground" people rise and become big--usually happens when established, popular artists (i.e. Kurt Cobain, Beck, Ariel) cite/name drop someone obscure and outside as being "influential". On 1 hand its cool they can disseminate acts that deserve to be heard, but it almost becomes a coolclub competition-- purposeful striving to find or discover the latest underground artist. "Im cool and have neat taste cuz I know who this is and no one else does". Burried treasures
Just got the original LP in Mint yesterday, iv'e been trying to get it forever, now im just trying to go to Cali to get it signed because Gary has a fear of flying and wont leave CA. GOAT.
I used to work for Big Daddy Music in Kenilworth NJ and we distributed this album for Motel Records. The first day I started interning with the company they told me about the Gary Wilson back story, about Motel Records efforts to find the band and get them back together again, then they told me that the first live show the band had done in 25 years would be at Joe's Pub in NYC that very night and that I was coming with them to see it!
Gary saw Vince Rossi kissing Cheryl.

The phrase "ahead of his time" was coined for this guy. This could easily come out now

@DeliriumBox If he was famous, he wouldn't be good. Corporate would've eaten him up, spit him out, and called him "synth-pop."
