The only problem with this card is heat issues especially ones from PNY. I would recommend this card anyways but just not from PNY.

For the price this card is hard to miss. I got it in July and better drivers came out recently.

I got PNY 9600GT no problems at all overclocked and runs cool not heat problems dude.

I later found out it was my E4300 that was overheating. 9600GT is a great card and it does run pretty cool. I had set up fan profiles and my temps never go above 59C.

My PNY 9600GT is overclocked: core:650 to 70mhz memory: 900 to 1000mhz and ran speed at 40% with case sidepannel fan and it runs at 44 degrees c idle and i think about 60c max. My opinion that is frikin good plus i got 1 on top of the other in sli so that will make it wormer.

the 9600 gso performed a few frames less on alot of benchmarks with this card. the 9600 gso is about 50 after rebate. but the memory is a bit slower and theres less except on the 700+ mb version which only has dd2 ram.

from whay i remember the 9600gt was around th performance of a 3870. Anyway i happen to think the gt was an exceptional card. It's now only about £10 more expensive than a 9600gt anyway, well ones with a name. History-intergrated, intergrated,7600gs (nice card to get me into pc gaming), 8600gts(now a spare, it was a decent lil card that deserved more credit), 8800gt(now in 2nd rig, great card) and now a 4870x2 in main (fucking animal).

This card is awesome, the only thing wrong is i have a 2.2gig dual core that has trouble keeping up with it when i crank up the graphics settings, Another thing that has pissed me off is i bought a 3D rocket cooler from gigabyte for my cpu so i could overclock it and i find that my motherboard dosnt support overclocking, mind u i do have quite an old 1 lol......anyway awesome card, best 1 ive had so far :D

Nuff said, its a great card that will out preform most cards in SLI.

**Note, the 9600 GT is beaten by the 8800 GT by 5-10 frames, same goes for SLI.

8800 GT has higher price, but its also faster. 9600GT slower but has lower price. 9600GT althorug has more modern technology. value/performance both are 10/10. i gonna have a 9600 GT (BFG or asus, maybe leadtek) in a few weeks. now ive got a GF4 440 MX. i think it will be a big performance jump :P

I've got the Galaxy 9600GT 512mb factory overclocked. I paid $129 canadian for it. It's a great card, and runs at about 42C idle and 50C - 55C under load. I recommend it to anyone that doesn't have enough for an 8800GT, or a G92 GTS, but still wants to play all of today's games at the highest graphic settings.

obviously you don't understand that its the cards architecture that makes all the difference. This card uses a faster core opposed to say a 8800 gt which even with its 64 stream processors makes it more than enough. It falls around 3-5 frames shorter than the 8800 gt for around at least $50 dollars less. I think thats very good performance for $. =p

You Can't 3 way sli a 8800gt or 9600gt because it only has 1 sli connector.

Its possible if you use 1 row of a 3 way bridge and hack the nvidia gforce drivers. Even a Intel P35 chipset can do sli if the gforce drivers are hacked. All this is possible but its hacking the drivers that is very risky and will lead to dead GPUs if done incorrectly.Nothing is foolproof these days.

I've got 2 crossfire HD3850 rigs at the moment and am happy with it.

I would really like to 3 way sli the 8800GT or even 9600GT but as far as i know no drivers will make this work , so i guess it's time to wait.

Anyways happy playing with the 9600GT and don't forget to overclock the GT.
