  • That's impressive, well done. I did a similar effect with 3ds max but I like your effort better ;)

  • no

  • can you like make how big they are and what colors and all that

    how high

  • i love your mini show.

i look foward to buying it.

  • Hey man, could you please tell me the title of this song? I love it.

  • @123NLalex I forget. It's by Kevin McLeod and is a free download on incompetech(dot)com

  • very nice. my 2 yr old cousin is facinated by this lol

  • the effects are to long. :')

    but still 5/5

  • Butt..... 50 dollars is WAY TO MUCH

  • It is the same price as any new game.

  • But it isn't really a game... it's really not worth that much for a bunch of amatur developers

  • Well, actually AfterGlow IS a game...

  • It's not a game in the sense that there is a score, a strategy or a goal, but it IS a recreational piece of software used only for fun. Price is determined by the size of the market for any piece of software. Popular games that are mass marketed to a huge user base can really get the price down. Something like AfterGlow that has a much smaller target audience can not compete with the $20 price tag you see on traditional games in WalMart.

  • As I said it isn't worth 50$

  • Then don't buy it. Obviously it is worth $50 to other people because I've had no problems selling it at this price.

  • @Nighthawkinlight

$50 is way to much. I can buy a 2 GB ipod shuffle for that.

  • Nice! Happy new year nighthawkinlight!

  • Can you show us how u make a show in this, and where can you download it.

  • I plan on making a few more videos using this program and showing how to use it. At the moment it can only be downloaded through a thread titled 'AfterGlow Pre Release Sales' on vpyro(dot)com.

  • I wish life was a perfect as these simulate it to be. Very pretty though.

Happy New Year From Sault Ste. Marie.

  • Cant see it on my ipod :(

  • Perfect Fun!!!

  • Great software! as a fellow pyro, i give this 5 stars all the way. blue and purple are my favorite colors followed by green. i love willow breaks and color changers. for noise, nothing compares to titanium flash salutes ( big ones) you never forget that chest pounding thump you get when dozens of these salutes are going off at once.

  • i like the way the explosions are realistic

    sound after visual

    :]

  • Try the program Finale Fireworks. Very similar but easier to use and you can make your own shells/comets/fountains

  • As you can with afterglow.

  • programs not that hard to make, some math involved and custom cpma palettes rendered through code

  • i played a game liek this acept it was called FINALE firworks was good fun.

  • Very Nice work, is it a demo program thats possible to buy or something?

  • At the moment the full program is only available to download from the developer directly for $50. There's a thread on vpyro(dot)com with the information needed to get the pre release.

  • now you just have to build it and post the results :D

  • nice, its like olympic games in china :-D

  • Nice ... is these program freeware ?

  • its cool but real fireworks is fucking better

  • yeah

real fireworks are fucking de best of all

  • thats sick!

  • Thats a nice show

    -Pyrotechnics88-

  • wow that's nice 5/5

  • damn those look amazing

  • ive made something just like this in RCT3( rollercoaster tycon 3) u can build fireworks there too. but its a bad program tho, imo night some of them had a really bad break :P haha but ye nice i loved it

  • I've used the possibility to make fireworks in RCT as well. It's a pretty bad program, but with some custom made firework-packs it's a lot better.

Tho, New Years still is the best, lighting fireworks yourself, and not on a computer screen.

  • any way to download this program? :D

  • There is a thread titled AfterGlow pre release sales on vpyro(dot)com with the info needed.

  • i bought MANY rockets for new year

  • I have 1100 bottlerockets ;D

  • i mean big rockets

  • beutefull

  • I have the program also, I deffenitly back it up. It looks so realistic in the program and you can pause a firework while it is breaking and you swing the camera around it, it is all great 3D work.

  • how far away was the camera?

(yeah sorry its a stupid question its just i dont know much about fire works id sound dumb)

  • I had the camera located 1,700 feet away.

  • Very interesting program its very similar to show-sim. The physics arent dialed in but it still looks nice. The timing is exact and I think thats the future of fireworks. Get on APC nighthawk. You seem to only make pitstops there.

    -Firetech

  • It was made by the same fella who made show sim.

  • Yeah I know it. Busy busy.

  • I liked the disc shaped ones.

  • love the multi-colored ones and the ones at 0:34

  • that would be a tight screensaver LOL!

  • Thats pretty nice. xD The first shell.... It looked like your sun and planets kinda.

  • It was actually loosely based on the 3 break shell I built a few months back.

  • they look very realistic

  • Yeah they look pretty good. They look even better in the actual program. I'll try to get a better quality display up at some point.

  • Cool is an easy program to use ?

  • Yeah it's about as easy as it could be. It uses actual pyrotechnic terms for things so if you do not know the language it might take you a little while to figure out what everything is.

  • Sweet, maybe I'm gonna try that out sometimes! :D

  • first?
