  • truely beautiful and so true

  • Isn't it ironic... Dontcha think. Alannis Morrisette straight rip off.

  • I am a man who doesn't care what his sexual preference is (why would I?).

I am here to listen to music. Some of the "hillbilly-intelligence" comments that are made on here, you couldn't even pay me to Post on here.

  • @montesooma they're not gay. it was just and 80's thing to dress like a girl. check out early pics of Motley Crue. they did the same thing, but they ain't gay.

  • This song is truely THE love song of the 80s. Howard Jones is wonderful.

  • This song, now, makes me realize how crap is the music stream today.

  • a penguin and a jar of bovril kenny everett is a genius! Howard jones is phenomenal! One of the few artists who played live on kennys show!

  • Excellent music, this makes me a point of merriment, a pang of emotion. It's deep, very very good song, for crying of emotion and getting the hair on end!. I love this song, my favorite after Fisherman Blues (The Waterboys)...

  • This was one of my favorites in the 80's. Brings back so many memories from those days as a teen! classic and beautiful is right!

  • Howard Jones' song about forbidden love never fails to send a chill up the spine or tears to the eyes. Sniff. Even if I've never been in the situation described in the song (and thank goodness), he sure knows how to hit a chord with people through his songs.

  • I love that song. What's worse...it's something a lot of people are guilty of... thinking about...forbidden love.

  • don't you wish you have a time machine ? I do

  • at dekkk80, I totally agree. I listened to hours of this one song and related everything to my life at the time to it. Now as an adult w/children it's still just as powerful to me, just in a more nostalgic way. I love Howard Jones and all of his work!

  • chills up spine. Amazing. What keyboard is that sitting ontop of piano by the way?

  • This new format bythe "so-called" programmers at YT is just fucking awful !!!!

  • his best haircut and song right there. very good version too.

it's such a sincere and sentimental number but always leaves me feeling serene.

  • He's an excellent pianist and a good singer, but a mate of mine many years ago used to work in recording studios in Manchester and London and he said that our boy Howard was a right stroppy, awkward and generally not very nice person.

Few people wanted to work with him.

  • @nickbaldeagle01, i've never worked for Howard Jones, so i'm sure that's a different situation, but had the great pleasure of meeting him in the late 90's after a show he did in my town. he was humble & very kind. it was a truly amazing show and night and Howard was nothing short of lovely to me and the other fans!

imo, he really should get far more credit for his music and lyrics that are so classic, beautiful, heart breaking, and timeless!

  • This is literally the most awesome thing I have ever seen

  • love his hair!

  • howard jones is creeped out too

  • I remember driving back day after my senior Prom 1986 from the Jersey shore after things did not work out with my date.. Hearing this song for the first time on the way back to NYC and it has stuck with me since.... what if???

  • you will only appreciate this song if you grew up with it,seems to make more sense as you grow older
