  • huh? is this an actual game that came out on playstation?

  • TIME OVER!

  • These are the Ripoffs.

Long-Way-Is Just another version of Dragon from World Heroes but with a headband.

    Kang-TUNG FU RUE Sprite edit.

Bill-Sprite Edit Of Jack From A.O.F

J-A Mix of Guile from Street fighter & Angela from Power Instinct.

Kain- Young Geese with a Mullet

Gamp-Sorta Like Zazi (Fighter History) combined with Barbon from SOR 2.

Takuya- a Rip From That Blond Dude from Fight Fever.

Mishell- IDK ?, Yuri..? from A.O.F & Fio Germi..from Metal slug

  • @XxJimmYb

    Sakamoto-Jubei from samurai showdown.

    AzarL:John Crawley from A.O.F

  • @XxJimmYb What'chu know 'bout that Fight Fever, son? ^_^

I'd say Takuya looks more like Han Baedal than Kim Hoon. The rest of these though, spot on. They did totally rip off other characters for this game.

  • What the hell. This game kiss ass, The Boss Is an almost look alike to Young Geese

  • @XxJimmYb Kain is not the boss of the game. Some weird little bald dude is.

  • 2:25 transvestite Bart Simpson

  • This game sucks. Waited 1:00 just to see some cheesey bald-headed Guile ripoff.. These GFX would have been considered crappy on a friggin' genesis..

  • have you guys considered a game called Jojo's venture?

  • Fucking idiots this is MORE a SNK fighter rip off than SF the character are mock ups from every damn SNK 90's fighters.

  • @snkfiend I agree. Fight Fever is too, because it's mainly a cross between Fatal Fury 2/Special and Art of Fighting 1 and 2. However, since Viccom was SNK's Korean distributor, Viccom asked SNK's permission to borrow some of SNK's material and staff (including Ryo Sakazaki and Haohmaru voice actor, Masaki Usui, for voicing Karate Kenji). And Han Baedal is a Ryu/Ryo hybrid, because Ryu and Ryo were created by some of the same people. Fight Fever's bonus games were also in SF1 and AoF series.

  • This breaks one rule of fighting games: once the player is defeated, he/she should stay laying on the ground, not immediately get up and start attacking. If this was picked as Import Game of the Month, I just hope that next month they don't pick Cosmic Race

  • Cosmic Race was actually the 2nd choice under consideration. If you have any suggestions for next month's Import Game of the Month, please consider leaving a message on the official PlayStation Museum FaceBook page.

  • how deliciously bland

  • Looks completely terrible.

  • cool video the only game want to play on here RE1.5

  • sighs another faceless 90s fighter which was a rip off of street fighter and uses stereotypes for its minority fighters : (

  • @VIRGOLEGACY See snkfiend's comment.

  • This game uses stolen and modified sprites from Street Fighter 2, World Heroes, Fatal Fury Special and Art of Fighting 2

  • Yep. I can notice that "Kang" is actually Tung Fu Rue. And the logo font is a cheapo rip-off of Street Fighter

  • Long Way = Dragon from World Heroes

Bill = Looks like one of the enemies from the bonus stage of Art of Fighting 2

Kain = Geese from Art of Fighting 2

Takuya = Ryo from Fatal Fury Special

  • @KinnikuSuguru Here is what I think are the origins of the character sprite rips: Sakamoto - Jubei Yagyu (Samurai Shodown 2) Azarl - John Crawley (Art of Fighting 2) Long Way - Dragon (World Heroes 2) Kang - Lee (Art of Fighting 2) Mishell - Yuri Sakazaki (Art of Fighting 2) Bill - Jack Turner (Art of Fighting 2) J - ? Kain - Geese Howard (Art of Fighting 2) Gamp - ? Takuya - Ryo Sakazaki (Fatal Fury Special)
  • @Tempora158 Kang looks more like Tung Fu Rue from Fatal Fury

  • @MrDonkeydong155 Sure, he does look like Tung Fu Rue (probably not a coincidence), but his stance and his animation frames makes it obvious that he is a re-drawn Lee from AOF2.

  • godawful

  • With so many great fighting games on the PlayStation, Masters Fighter isn't in the top echelon. However, it's not as bad as I remembered it. Graphics are subpar even for a 1997 release.

  • looks like a street fighter spin-off

  • Rip-off, actually
