  • Tap DAT'

  • i just saved battery

  • thanks

  • Hahaha tap that!!!!

  • then why dont you just turn your iphone off?

  • Where did you get your Siri app??

  • @Sleepydaisy101 @rosie5800 It's an very old app....there isn't it on App Store but if you have Jailbreak I think you can easly download it via Instalous!

  • Tnx!

  • dude ive had an iphone4 since september and had no idea you could double click home and close put those apps

  • @biohazard099 hahaha... sorry :))

  • how did u get the siri app

  • this didn't help me at all.

  • now if you *BREATH* want to do it this *BREATH* way you can go over *BREATH* to this thing...

  • dude is making this reveiw at 1am O_o

  • something happend to my iphone today and the thing was my iphone just turned off and i had 67 procent of battery left, i thought if i would charge my iphone it would fix it but it didn´t so, Do you have any suggestions?

  • @GoingCommandoxX Get it replaced if the problem persists.

  • This was helpful! thank you! I've had my iPhone for a few days and with 20mins-hour after its finished charging my battery goes always goes down and I turned off a bunch of things. I don't do too much on the phone and i don't play games- i'll wait it out a bit longer i guess.

  • So if I turn ON airplane mode, it will disable all of the battery sucking features....right? I think I will keep my iPod in airplane mode unless I need to make a call or something else. I don't generally receive calls on it, just make them. I'll give that a test and see if it improves battery life. Thanks for the info.

  • You should tell your viewers that disabling the "Location Services" removes the ability to "Find My iPhone" In other words if someone rips it off......Good luck finding it.

  • better turn it off.why build a phone to turn off all stuff.this is crazy apple.are you crazy fantastic battery life,4real?

  • I need some help, i did all this and i saved really much battery but then now when i turn off my phone its losing battery.. nothing is on, not any apps are running in the background.. Please help

  • thankyouuu!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This is some great stuff! Thank you my friend. You have made the user experience for a new iPhone owner wonderful...

  • Cool but I'm getting iPhone 4S

  • I want to comment regarding the PUSH option on the mail. THis is the most battery friendly method of getting emails. Fetch is the most battery exhausting. Try to look this up on GOOGLE, a lot of people will back me up with this.

  • @syddogwapo push uses more battery because it has to maintain a constant ping to the email server where fetch checks it only every 15, 30 or 60 minutes depending on how you set it.

  • @zollotech Push email does not have to 'constantly ping the server' That's the whole point of push versus pull email. Email is automatically pushed to the device by the server when it is available, the client device doesn't need to ping constantly or every few minutes to check for an update. Google it like the guy says, you will educate yourself.

  • @zollotech I agree with others regarding push emails. The way push email works is the phone does not have to ping the server at all. The server will ping the phone when a new email is received and the phone never has to check for new messages, it just has to wait for the mail server to contact it saying a new one is available. The basic difference: When the phone checks for emails, it pings the server asking if new ones are available and the server sits there until then. Push is the opposite.

  • @DannleChannel In order for push email to work a socket connection is kept open between the device and server to facilitate the push email. You can also decrease battery life quickly if you have it check every 15 minutes as well. If you look up how push email works you will find this to be the case.

  • @DannleChannel also, cnet among many others tell you to turn it off to reduce battery consumption.

  • @zollotech Seems I've failed to do my homework, that makes sense. Thanks!

  • @zollotech having push on uses less battery than having it checked hourly. having a wifi connection or 3g connection connected on standby doesn't use much battery - that is after all what your phone do for sms and calls - it only uses while you're transfering data. therefore the email push thing doesn't make any sense.

  • nice video really helped me

  • Ha, when you got notified of your email, I checked my iPhone...

  • is it just me or is this dudes hands huge!??!

  • Mine doesn't have that location services... why???

  • thank you for mentioning when you double click the home buttuon that all those apps are still runing! i never knew hat, i had like all my apps running!! no wonder my iphone battery sucked haha

    thank you man!!

  • 11.5 hrs of usage

1 day and 4 hours of standy is that good?

  • @seekokhean It only really affects the battery if you are not using the phone and it's in standby mode - it's a minimal difference.

If you're using the phone, you wouldn't really notice a difference - the battery will drop maybe 1 or 2 percent more.

We're literally talking about 1 - 4% battery here. Not a lot, but hey it's up to an hour on the iPhone 4.

  • @seekokhean They make the iphone periodically connect to 3G/GPS to retrieve data, so yes, they do.

  • thank u, such a saver!

  • Hey thanks man. I just got my iPhone 4 and the first charge or should I say quickly depleting battery really had me worried. But after like the second charge the battery seems to be doing awesome. So thanks for easing the worrying. Lol

  • I heard a Iphone4 Or 5 Is comming to t-mobile

  • you can also turn on your screen rotation, that WILL save you A LOT of battery life, i had mine on for 2 hours (not plugged in) and it was still at 100%

  • Hey please replay and help me: i was trying to jailbreak my iphone with Limera1n and when i was doing steps it switched off and i cant turn it on please help.

  • @123chilldude he's not a life saver he is a battery saver -_-''

  • Why are you not jailbroken?

  • @Angry1995 ?

  • @iordanis11 Your such a noob if you dont know what that is

  • @Angry1995 must i answer ! ? lol what then?

  • @Angry1995 no need for me.

  • Good tips! Thanks

  • Was searching Youtube and saw your page and thought to say hi.

  • hey buddy, no offense but thumbs up if he has big hands the iphone looks small in oyur hands. dont think im making fun or anything i jsut couldnt help it sorry if u got mad .

  • How do you have your own app

  • @trancer333

    I wait 1,5 h for full battery not 3 h like yours!!

  • P.S. Setting it manually or push notifications on is the same thing. Push notifications are like messages from apple servers and don't need constant data sync which in that case drains the battery!

  • PUSH NOTIFICATIONS saves battery life not drain the battery! iPhone constantly checks mail and other data if you st the settings to fetch data at a given time like every 15mins or so. This will take up the juice out and NOT the PUSH. That's the smartest thing apple has done it!

  • Thank you very much. Your tips were very usable for me =)

  • I've had my iphone 4 for exactly 2 days now and after charging for a full night, my phone seems to lose 1% of battery life within like 10 mins of using it.

  • Thanks for the tips, i have some questions, you mentioned that u have to wait about day or more to improve the battery and feel good, i bought it 4 days ago, and i never let him die, today i started to charge when it was 4 % by USB, and have to wait about 3 hours to get full,( i never charged it by outlet) my phone is jailbroken by redsnow , and what is the avarage time of iphone 4 battery lifetime, when jsut often play listen to some music and sometimes surf in web

  • @trancer333 on any normal day which means checking email listening to podcasts or music and texting I would say 1 and a half days.

  • @zollotech

and when u just play the game ? i know that it can last 10 hours when u play, is that so ? mostly i play with my iphone and listen to the music :)

  • @zollotech does the same techniques work on ipad 2? Im getting one for christmas !

  • Thanks for the tips

  • i have an iphone 4 and my battery life seems to go down really fast when im on the internet is that normal or is it just my iphone?

  • thx alo0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0o0ot

  • If 3G is on and I'm not using the internet does it consume money from the sim card as well?

  • Comment removed

  • your hand is big!

  • very good video ! and helful ! thx !

  • Thank you so much!!!

  • Should i have data roming on or off someone pla tell me?

  • Turning down the brightness saves SO much battery!

This is just a guess, but don't you think having it on Vibrate would suck out battery?

Which one would take out the most life? Sound or Vibrate?

  • thank you so much for this it helped me so much! i just got my iphone 4 yesterday and i love it!

  • i had a problem i was putting on a case and i didn't notice it was holding down my power button afterward i could not turn it back on i had to hold down the power button and home button to turn it back on i heard that what a did can ruin the battery is this true?

  • @artazan99 No, it is a forced reboot and should not effect your battery whatsoever.

  • Thank you so much!

  • Omg best video helped out a lot thanks!!

  • thanks!

  • Very informative! I had several apps running in the background and I didn't know how to shut them off. Thanks!

  • Fag.

  • I have a problem or maybe i'm doing something wrong. i added my personal e-mail to my iphone so i could get notifications like i used to with my droid (i have a gmail account) but unless i don't go manually to my inbox and refresh it, i don't get push notifications like i get on facebook or twitter. I have the push notification turned on and that's the only account i have added to my Mail App.

What should i do to get instant notifications?

  • @maur1nhoo email does not send push notifications. It will push mail to the phone, but not notify you like facebook or twitter does.

  • @maur1nhoo If you go in settings, email, contacts menu and go down to fetch new data and in there you can change the time for when to fetch new data.

  • @maur1nhoo i know what you mean.. i think i have the same problem, do you knopw what to do now?

  • you can also turn it off

  • Also, I really like your intro/outro. Very clean and short.

  • @TokeyZong thanks

  • Awesome Aaron! I sent this video to my dad, he was just complaining about his battery life.

  • Awesome video and thanks a lot for the tips. I know that the integrated iPod uses the least amount of battery which is awesome because you can listen to music all day without having to worry about draining your battery. I use my phone mostly to listen to music and watching youtube videos so I'm very happy with it :)

  • You have some of the highest quality videos for tech on the web. Great job!

  • Great video. Keep the tips coming.

  • Very informative! Hopefully you'll be able to extend the same tips to other smartphone platforms as well, as battery life is key for these types of devices.

  • He did this a 1 in the morning

  • Do most of these apply to the iPod Touch (4th generation) too?

  • I know this is random, but are you Christian? I couldn't help but notice the Bible application you have!

  • @tylermattson yes I am

  • hey this is a good video! thanks

  • i have a question so it you close the apps on 5:08 would you permantly delete it or what please reply

  • @fuzzy15946 no it does not delete it. It just closes it from multitasking. It will still be on the screen above

  • @zollotech thank you another question is the atnt iphone 4 better or the verizon?

  • @fuzzy15946 no idea, but to be quite honest , myself nor anyone I know has the antenna problem. The antenna does look slightly different but no idea until we can get out hands on one.

  • Great video.

  • thanks, and keep up the good work!

  • I use Push and just switched the Fetch to Hourly, and my battery life is still good. Great video as always!

  • GPS is my biggest problem, when taking a trip somewhere, i use Google Maps, and within an hour, the battery has drained some 10-20%.

  • @doompod for sure. Def best to use with a charger

  • if u have the timer continously going, does that drain battery

  • @randomrazr anything running will consume some battery. A timer would be very minimal I would think though.

  • LAST

  • @stevenzv7 lol

  • Nice, and thanks zollotech ;D
