So how did it turn out? Wow, that's some active fermentation! I haven't made wine yet, but I've been making beer w/ my brother for a year and our last batch was an elderberry beer which turned out great. Where did you get the elderberries? I live in Oregon and I know they're still hard to come by, especially at the right time of year. Great vid!
Its still in the carboy, wont bottle it until the summer probably. We grow our own berries, most of the wild ones around here are in somebodys yard so it easier to grow our own. Elderbeer, never thought of that, great idea!
It turned out great. Our website has moved to oatmealjack com for elderberry winemaking. We recently visited an elderberry winemaking vineyard at Village Winery in Waterford VA, they make great elderberry wine and syrup and even chocolate elderberry syrup!
