DVD fab to burn blu ray iso etc. to rip to AVI DviX MP4 MKV use Pavtube.

I use Handbrake to rip DVD's and it's really good, and free. I'm not sure about the others but Handbrake is based around VLC so it supports whatever filetype you want to output with.

you can use handbrake to rip dvd's right to an mp4 file without separately doing it.
