I used to ride an MTB with 26x1 slicks, which was pretty quick but since Feb 2010 I've been commuting on a road spec hybrid, which in the right conditions is surprisingly quick but also a forgiving and easy ride. Both of these bikes are fitted with pannier racks and will usually carry up to 10kg but have carried more. The roadbike is a carbon frame and always feels great whenever I take it out! :)

Check out the nice guy driving the Jag at 0.42...... it looks like he saw you coming and moved over to the left so you could get by. :)
