@skateanddestroy66 --I'll explain, if you have not already realized by now what you need is a wireless connection, you then connect through settings on the 360 to your wifi connection (router) using a password if you have one (you might need to move it closer to the router if the signal is weak) try it out.

Alright, my laptop is not allowing me to check on the first box on top. It says:

"An error occurred while Internet Connection Sharinf was being enabled."

So what is the problem? Since it seems to be going so smoothly for everybody else then do I have a problem with my router or a systematic error in my laptop which is preventing me from enabling sharing funcations?

SOLUTION!!!

1) Do what he tells you :)

2)On the sharing thing, click on settings.

3) Make sure your Xbox is on there and make sure the xbox boxes are ticked.

4) If you want to do it easily, then connect an ethernet cable to the back of the xbox and the other end to your pc/laptop...

5)Go on network connections and highlight your connection.

6) Connect to xbox live via the xbox

For the guys with no sharing tab, you need to enable the "Local Area Connection" first and DISABLE or CLEAR the FIRST BOX.

If you don't then the tab won't show up for "Wireless Network Connection"

I've been using a network bridge before & got tonnes of lag & constant disconnection after 2-3 rounds of MW2.

This ICS stuff never worked for me before.

If your having probs ppl, try leaving 'secondary DNS server' blank, when you click OK, you may get an error message about multiple default gateways, just say 'use setup anyway'.

Lastly, go 2 your xbox 360 network settings, (2nd Tab) and click 'restore to factory default settings. THEN test your connection, worked for me.

for this i just plugged in lan cable.

went to internet properties like in the video check marked the two boxes.

then i turned on xbox, and manually configured all that ip mumbo jumbo. and BAM! it worked.

I tried this and it actually worked for me. However it takes a little longer to sign into Xbox Live versus wireless adapter but after you're signed in nothing should be slowing down or anything. Another thing is if you're enabling other networks to connect to your computer's internet connection it may interfere with your computer's internet. Like if you're playing Xbox live you might not be able to connect to the internet with your web browsers.

i figured it out, it's because Xbox Live just came out with their new update, you know, where u can buy stuff for your avatar, well apparently you have to update it using an adapter or with that cord connected to your modem, that worked for me, the only reason i want to hook it up to my laptop is so i can play it on my giant tv in the living room
