Negative, it's always been Richards. I want to say Andrew loog Oldham convinced him to drop the 's'. He did so for a while & then said to hell with it & returned to his real name.
Better in what way? He is who he is. Music is too personal to say one song is better than another. For me, the Stones are my all time favorite (if I was forced to pick). There are a ton of great groups out there. Alot of 'em did drugs, some didn't. It's up to me weather I like their songs.
