I'm sorry, but I don't know much about RC Drifters but I was wondering what those poles sticking out of it on the body. Are they so if the car flips over they prevent it from messing up the body? Other than that BEAUTIFUL RX-7!

Its a pearlescent purple I believe. It's not a Tamiya paint though, try asking 'stigdriver', he might know because it's his car! :-D

I don't even think it was fitted, oops! There are a few available, HPI do a dress-up kit that includes a chrome exhaust, Ansmann sell one and there are more as well :-)

Sorry, i'm not in the US but I guess the basic kit and an ESC, servo, receiver, transmitter, battery and charger could probably be had for $200 if your lucky. Another $200 would get you most of the bits on this car apart from the no limit ESC.

Yep, 1/10th scale with Tamiya (190mm wide) bodyshell. da car has cost around three hundred GBP (British Pounds) I guess. You can pick the bodyshell up for around £30 unpainted and a basic running chassis will cost at least £150 new including all the electrics, Transmitter, Battery and charger. Maybe someone knows how to do it cheaper...

5/5 nice car. I have tamiya tt-01, maverick strada mt and hpi e10. Like the mazda.

It's not all looks though its also performance...

When you have a good looking body on the car you just have that felling that you want to drive it but there is something putting you back... 'what if i crash or scratch it?' What i do is i have 1 spare body (nismo coppermix silvia) and others for good looks and to mod and to put on my shelf. The nismo has holes drilled for every car and i bash it! 5/5 +fav

yeah, totally agree, I'm nearly done with a s15 Silvia myself, but want to keep it mint. We will definitely be drifting though. I have a AE86 corolla by HPI for bashing. Also, I've learnt its a good idea to use a non-metallic colour for bashing as it's tougher and easier to blow-in.

He needed to keep the posts long for another bodyshell as he didn't have any spare posts, but all agree, would be better with posts cut down more.

A couple of u have asked how fast it goes, a stock TT-01 is 20-25mph, with longer gearing and motor upgrades they can do 40+. This one has a 22T pinion gear with the 58T spur gear and a Tamiya Super RZ motor I think. Top would be 25T Pinion, 55T Spur, high rpm/torque Brushless Motor.

nice job!! i just did this same model. I sorta botched some of the decals though...how did you get them so perfect? Do you use the spray stuff?

Thanks, It's my cousin's. Try using tweesers and/or a craft knife to position the decals, attach at one end of the decal and smooth out - I use the handle of a screwdriver for that. Another tip I got was to brush/spray all possible decals (instead of using the stickers)onto the inside before spray-painting the body. Examples would be side repeaters, door handles and window rubbers.

Nope, it has GPM alloy hubs. My cousin has or had some brake disks from hotworksracing, I think he got them on ebay. hope that helps :-)
