I turned my speakers way up at the beginning when the lady started talking and I could barely hear her and then.... WHOA! Jose's voice was so loud. He has such a beautiful healthy voice.

@pippyspot :) He's VERY honest and he definitely is caring. You're right; not very many people are like him. That's why I like him. And he's also very smart, and has an awesome sense of humor. And he has an adorable smile. :)

This is a courageous man. He said once that "Cemotherapy took 3 1/2 minutes. Celeste Aida requires 3 1/2 minutes, so I would sing Celeste Aida while I was having chemo. What a wonderful way to endure the grueling experience of chemo!!

And there were many tenors greater than Pavarotti -- Bjorling, Correlli and most certainly Enrico Caruso.

@IPallas Yes, I remember reading about that! What an awesome way to pass the time. He did sing it quietly, though, because I believe he was concerned that he was going to startle the nurses. XD

Let's just be glad he's alive and well, and I know he's trying very hard to stay that way for a while longer. If he died, that would be even more devastating than if he had retired. And even if he did retire, he will still be working on his foundation, so he will not disappear from the public eye altogether. I will still see him in videos and photos in news articles.

Those who think he should retire have a good reason for having such an opinion. Cancer can be very hard to deal with, even long after it's considered cured. I know his voice is declining, but he still sings with the same passion as he did when I first heard him. Cancer certainly cannot damage that.

Jose is such a charming man. Love the way he says, "How do you do?" He's very cute when he speaks because he always looks so shy. :)

Oh no..... Jose..please PLEASE retire. You voice has long left you. Please leave us with some memories of your youth when you could really sing. Don't embarras yourself by continuing to present what is now just a shell of a once great voice.

Great Jose, pity he was born in the same generation as Luciano and Placido, somehow he has been in the shadow of those two, but in his own way he is a great tenor and performer

Let me tell you something my friend, Pavarotti probably was the twenty century voice, Placido Domingo was the most beautiful musical page in a tenor voice and Carreras the most incredible personality in a tenor. Each one of them had his own wonderful moments and I particularly enjoyed with all of them, My biggest admiration for all of them.¡¡¡Long life to the Music!!!
