in the CMT crossroads version of this song i dont think keith was star struck he was holding back because John said he loved the solo so much and wanted to do it himself.

And also b4 the start John said he was just gonna go for it all and play like he was just starting out again.

i must say tho since Keith and John played together keith has started displaying his skills alot more which is awesome coz its an absolute pleasure to watch and listen.
