We run the Nicholson A8 Highspeed Debarker, and been running it since I ca remember, I been at Chaleur Sawmills for 7 years, ours is a bit faster then what is shown here though, Iam not kidding, we can run about 50-60 logs per minute.. We have 2, we also have the nicholson A5. They can handle logs up to I think 24". You can find Nicholson A8
kickers take too long just roll out the debarked log with the next with the stop and loads much faster. although the the headsaws look full by the logs chillin in the log trouth. 7:55 haha grab a cant hook!
I run a morbark 642 of this style now, I used to run a morbark 640 stationary head now, and i like the stationary one better, it handles the twisted up ones so much better.
good job man....i ran one for 5 years....them damn knots will give ya hell sometimes.....u ever do pine...easy to make a baseball bat outta those haha...i would debark for two mills...had some hourglass rollers then flip some on the ground and the rest on the loading deck of the main mill

I put a short video of me with a red oak log, you should check it out. I'll have to get a buddy to record while I dump and go for a few logs.
