@klv400 well actually if the speakers int he cabinet are same or better quality it will work fine it is a modeling amp after all. Since the amp can simulate different types of amplifiers in different cabinets it would be a great head for various 412 cabinets. I also found a lot of cabinets use the same speaker line as this in the Celeston *sp? range. So it all depends how much fiddling you want to do withthe mouse on the computer. Your demo provoked me to get the Mustang V thank you! :D

Do u ever use outside distortion or any other pedals, like wahs or choruses, with this amp? I wonder how well the Mustangs take distortion pedals. That "room service" guy is full of crap, don't listen to him...I LIKE how u throw it all out there. I think it rocks.

@wwit63 Man i love it! all of the mustangs rock! they are not to good for heavy metal but great for anything ele! you can get some metal sounds out of it but a line 6 is way better for metal.if you want all of the fender amps for low bucks the mustangs are the way to go no pedals just a amp and a axe! thanks for looking! I like how people talk without doing any research. The speakers in the V412 cabinet are Rocket 50s because of the frequency response they have. The amp itself ALREADY MODELS different speaker cabinets with different speakers, so it emphasizes different frequencies. The amp models Vintage 30s, G12Ts, and Greenbacks, on top of a few Eminence speakers. Maybe you should check them out first before bashing the cab.

@animeaddict24711 They absolutely can, you're just going to have to make sure that they're compatible. The Orange head is going to have to have stereo output, because i believe that's all the mustang V cab has for inputs, and you'll wanna make sure it's in 8 ohms. Also, that the head isn't 300 watts and the cab is 200. than you'll pop your cab and that makes anyone who loves their cab cry.

I just found out that it IS very important to get the setup you did:

The Celestion Rocket 50 speakers in the V412 cabinet have a very balanced, even frequency response necessary for the Mustang series because of the modelling nature of the amp. It has to be able to replicate all 13 speaker cab simulators on top of the 12 amp models.

So I will give a listen to the setup at GC when I go !!! Sure is good to look around and find out important info !!!!

it's so cool you have blackheart stickers on your door becasue i was gonna get a mustang v amp head and then a 4x12 blackheart cabinet I would go for Marshall but blackhearts are affordable and appealing, plus having this is like having every fender amp and effect all in one amp head can't wait to watch the frontman review

@ZeroRedfield Well guess what? One of the amp models on this amp is called "American '90s" and it's the Mesa Boogie Dual-Rectifier. On top of that, the "Metal 2000" is a Peavey 5150 amp, which has metal all over it. The Fender Mustang is SICK!

Bought one last week based on this vid and a few others, simply blown away by this amps versatility. Its old school brit sounds are awesome. I have many tube amps and this baby stacks up just fine against amps three times it's price.

I don't know how fender did it but this amp is a must have. My mates just ordered one after playing it at mine.

@klv400 My Mesa Boogie amp and 2 x 12 cab are both made in the USA.......but I dont like the sound. I sold the cab and am going to be trading the amp ( ta15) into GC for the Mark IV or V, but I would not get the fender cab as it uses cheap rocket 50's where the

Mustang IV uses the G12-P80's that sound much better.

cool thing about the Mustang V is that its a 150 watt stereo head into a mustang 4x12 stereo cab so your getting a wide stereo field with effects and a big wall of sound: very super cool! And it even comes with casters and stereo cab cables and a cool footswitch! Great value for the money!

@estornas56 everbody loves tubes! i do to. but if you can go to a guitar shop and play any mustang the sound is unreal. so many things you can do with it. then make up your mind. they are some kind of amps! i been playing for 36 years and i just love the sound they have. and they are so cheap for what you get.

@estornas56: played a vypyr and for it was missing something, on the other hand unlike other vendors giving amp sounds that I will never use nor like, Fender is giving you the best tones of its entire line of amps. Now that is worth the price of admission alone! So, for me Fender Mustang V was the way to go and its been great so far!

@estornas56 I would say The Vypyr tube sounds a little better (IMHO) than the Mustang V but not by much. But you're going to have more upkeep on the Vypyr and tubes can get expensive. If it's the solid state Vypyr vs. the solid state Mustang I would chose the Mustang. Actually, I would chose the Mustang V over the Vypyr Tube but that's just me. Remember, tone is subjective so your best bet is to try it for yourself and see if it has what you're looking for.
