This is one of the greatest tributes to Denver and gospel music that can be presented...if you can't feel the Lord's presence....God have mercy on you!!!!!
what an incredible voice,i really enjoy bill shaw of the blackwoods and jimmy fortune of the statler bros. and with all due respect dever is the champ. to bad he left us so young.
There was only one Denver Crumpler who could hit all the notes he did with absolutely no effort. Hearing him in person always gave me goosebumps. The Rangers were the best I ever witnessed, true showmen who knew how to turn on a crowd to Jesus.
Denver was simply incredible! He and other tenors from this generation just had that special "something" that we don't hear today in Southern Gospel. Oh, there are some dynamite young singers out there today, but THIS is exceptionally different . Thanks for posting! This one brought the goosebumps! Mike
I have just listened again to this great tenor singing this great song and cold chills happen when Denver hits the high notes and the clarity is wonderful. If you are not touched, then Lord have mercy on your soul!
That picture of Denver is lovely and ajust the perspective I had of him from the smaller black and white photos I had seen in the past. Wish I had seen him in person as my sister did. There are so many songs to add to the list yet I fear we will never find That's My Desire. The quote from the Bible, I shall run and not be weary, I shall walk and not faint (fail) the ends with and help some soul along the way, That's my Desire. He achieved that didn't he?
Thanks so much for posting this---this is the one I wanted to hear.
Denver was my aunt's Brother-in-law. He died when I was 12. I remember well the old 78's and the scratchy recordings. The beauty of his voice was and still is almost haunting in its beauty.
His voice exceeded ony by his love of the Lord and his fillow man. He is the Tenor Jake Hess....

The only thing better is being there in person! Makes the hair stand on my neck. I also think he was the best of the best tenor singer ever!
