Maybe 2 and 3, but even then, they were 8s not 10s. The Titans gameplay along with the co-op and combat were things Crash never had before. Platforming in and of itself isn't that good, and that's the main portion of Classic gameplay. Brute-like, yes. But unlike Tiny, they aren't significant characters canon-wise.

The point about the comparison was that Batman is cooler than the Hulk for being intelligent. Thus a more intelligent Tiny (perhaps not as effeminate) can be cooler than a dumb Tiny, if done right. The only online play I do is with Ratchet & Clank All 4 One, which I like and play every so often, but I don't play it enough to be consistently on the boards. Anyway it's vgman94. Jokes, are still largely the same with the exception of those like N-Gin whose change is a consequence of character progression (getting bombed, burned, beaten by Crash thrice and abused by Cortex). Also, the main focus should be the gameplay, not characters. The gameplay has no real flaws and is a smooth combat platformer with a unique mechanic. Whining about character designs and the comedy is not only off point, but rather childish.

@tronmaster6 They're both great, so if you're thinking of buying one, consider getting the other eventually. But it depends on tastes. Titans has bonus rooms called Mojo Rooms, little challenges that you can ignore or do for bonus points and a Voodoo Doll (in-game collectible), while Mutant has time challenges. The quality is far better with the Mojo Rooms. Mutant has more moves and a Dodge & Counter mechanic which means the combat is more fun. The Titans can jump in that game too. (continued)
@tronmaster ...The story in Titans has more thought put into the comedy while Mutant's story is more forgettable, although that differs from person to person. Titans has small levels with few secret areas while Mutant has more hidden away areas where collectibles can be found. Some places where they hide collectibles are reminiscent of Crash 1. Short story: Titans has a better story and simpler levels. Mutant has better levels, better music and gameplay, but a worse story. Both are good, though.

@pandalover116 I know. I grew up with the old ones and I do like them, but they're not as good. They have fun gameplay, but it's not long lasting and it's simple. The designs were also simplistic and not as stylized as the new games' looks. The Titans and Mutant games were amazing. Great combat, good puzzles, alot of stuff that the old games didn't have. Some stuff of the old games could fit with the new and add to it, but the main formula of Radical's games is better. People just hate change.
Crash Bandicoot (character) was sold after Crash Bandicoot 3. The people who bought him now make the shit games today (Twinsanity was alright). Hence why It's not called crash BANDICOOT. Just Crash followed by the subtitle (of the titans).

@DelutionalPerfection Get over it, man. Quit being a child.Most of the personalities are not that different. It's the dialogue which is overfilled with comedy. Wumpa Island is the second island from Crash 1. You can tell by the skyward view of Wumpa Island in Mind Over Mutant. The old gags were more subtle, but nothing tops TwinSanity.
I'm just not a big fan of the newer gameplay because it just seems so much easier....
Otherwise, I actually really like a lot of the changes they've made. Crash looks totally awesome with the tat's. The whole look definitely fits the personality if you ask me.

The game itself is very different from this, and less cheesy. t least try it out for the first few levels. This and the Wumpa Market promos don't do the game justice. Inverted with Mind Over Mutant though. Cool promos, bad story. But, in both games, the gameplay is great and that's what counts the most.
@vgman94 Well, I played the game and I know it to be different, but my issue is with the characters and the entire gist of it. Aside from the game lacking all the fun and clever/thoughtful development, it has completely lost its individuality and charm. These people have fucked it up. There's the lack of that surreal quality and 'likability'. Crash was original, not a kind-hearted toddler with tats. Cortex wasn't ridiculous and effeminite. The music was distinct and they didnt overdo shit.

Point is, this is a failed job. Anyone with better sense can reinvent or better yet, simply improve, on this franchise that truly did not ever require any "revamping". The REAL reason why half of this can ever sell is really the classic crash and nostalgia. It tricked anybody who overlooked their research.
Is to "simply improve" just adding small gimmick after gimmick in each level? Like what Mario Galaxy did. 5 games and while TwinSanity added new concepts, the games were still mostly repeats. How is this a forgettable idea? Look at the Titans, look at the gameplay and it's potential. Anyone with some view can see that, at the very least, this would be a good idea "wrapped in a mediocre game" as IGN said. Meaning this needs more innovation and homages (Crystals/Gems, etc), but is a good concept.
@vgman94 Continuity doesn't have to base itself on nostalgia but it does have to base itself on respect for the original. This forgettable idea can lend itself to something different entirely... instead of having to milk some abandoned cow.

@TheloniousKeys781 Your claims are very shallow. How are the Titans and the comedy unoriginal in this game? MOM, however, did have bad comedy. There's no crime and making something new. After repeating the same basic game since Crash 2 to TwinSanity, it'd be a crime to not do something new and revamp the franchises. The only problems are the simple moveset and comedy-based story, which takes away from the plot. TwinSanity had the best story, Titans/MOM are on the right track for gameplay.
I'll admit, I miss the old Crash Bandicoot, but I can adapt to the "new" Crash Bandicoot because it still has the same characters from the previous games, they're just modified a bit. So what if some people miss the old Crash and some people like the new Crash? They still played it. I played the first Crash Bandicoot and became a fan, and I still am. The point is, Crash Bandicoot is still alive, and wouldn't everybody be more disappointed if Crash's lives ran out and couldn't come back?
Crash of the Titans and MoM are good games. But as Crash games they SUCK! Radical should have created another mascot for those games, not use Crash has those games have nothing to do with the old Crash platformers.

this is akkadian2009 of sasukaddian productions. my views are the following. the new and old crash have at least the same body type. the same voicing. the new one has new look but old has that feel to it and the respect of gamers everywhere, all in all the old crash from naughty dog was the best. can't top the old feeling ya get seeing crash back then. lookin at the newer version makes me not wanna play the new games and play the old ones over again
I'm always a fan of the OLD crash games since crash lost all of its shine in the new games. I mean you can get better quality fighting and puzzle action with games like god of war, uncharted and even Little big planet. I would love to see more old style crash games since it was just so brilliant. But then again it is a personal opinion and I cannot hate someone for liking this game. I'm also interrested of the old villains like papupapu and comodo joe why were they removed they were the best!
Apa649 Even if you can get more quality combat in more adult games, this is a great blueprint on how to improve it. More moves, some inspiration from the ND games and new material can make this awesome. And Uncharted's combat sucks ass (sorry). Generic grenade, rifle, gun, etc. It's boring. Playing as supernatural monsters and a fast bandicoot is far more fun. The old games were good, but brilliant? The music was, but the gameplay didn't break any grounds. I wish old enemies woulc come back too.
I do enjoy some of the new crashes though but the 2 new ones didnt give me the same feel.

I could even play those games but I really want the old enemies back and more replay value, I always enjoyed going back for the blue diamond green diamond roads and other hidden areas. I do too enjoy playing more arcade kind of games with simple yet good graphics such as crash.
@OoApa649oO I agree half-ways. I don't think Crash should be arcade, but having little side paths like that would be fun to bring back. And mix the difficulty with enemies and combat, besides extra level hazards aside from nitros which they should bring back. I enjoyed the new games personally, because I didn't care if it was different. I just want to have fun, so it was fun with it's own things. I didn't care much if it didn't have the same feel. As long as it's fun, that's what counts IMO.

The only online play I do is with Ratchet & Clank All 4 One, which I like and play every so often, but I don't play it enough to be consistently on the boards. Anyway it's vgman94. Jokes, are still largely the same with the exception of those like N-Gin whose change is a consequence of character progression (getting bombed, burned, beaten by Crash thrice and abused by Cortex). Also, the main focus should be the gameplay, not characters. The gameplay has no real flaws and is a smooth combat platformer with a unique mechanic. Whining about character designs and the comedy is not only off point, but rather childish.

@tronmaster6 They're both great, so if you're thinking of buying one, consider getting the other eventually. But it depends on tastes. Titans has bonus rooms called Mojo Rooms, little challenges that you can ignore or do for bonus points and a Voodoo Doll (in-game collectible), while Mutant has time challenges. The quality is far better with the Mojo Rooms. Mutant has more moves and a Dodge & Counter mechanic which means the combat is more fun. The Titans can jump in that game too. (continued)

Titans has small levels with few secret areas while Mutant has more hidden away areas where collectibles can be found. Some places where they hide collectibles are reminiscent of Crash 1. Short story: Titans has a better story and simpler levels. Mutant has better levels, better music and gameplay, but a worse story. Both are good, though.

OK, this is getting increasingly stupid. Not the series, mind you, but the trolls' unrelenting fanaticism.
The old games are a lot better? Yes. They're classic and entertaining platformers. Naughty Dog work at its best!
Does that make these new games bad? No. Sure, they fall flat when compared to the originals, but they're still pretty good. I was rather surprised at how much fun they were.
Is change bad? If I really have to answer, then you trolls are hopeless.

@pandalover116 I know. I grew up with the old ones and I do like them, but they're not as good. They have fun gameplay, but it's not long lasting and it's simple. The designs were also simplistic and not as stylized as the new games' looks. The Titans and Mutant games were amazing. Great combat, good puzzles, alot of stuff that the old games didn't have. Some stuff of the old games could fit with the new and add to it, but the main formula of Radical's games is better. People just hate change.

The game itself is very different from this, and less cheesy. t least try it out for the first few levels. This and the Wumpa Market promos don't do the game justice. Inverted with Mind Over Mutant though. Cool promos, bad story. But, in both games, the gameplay is great and that's what counts the most.

Aside from the game lacking all the fun and clever/thoughtful development, it has completely lost its individuality and charm. These people have fucked it up. There's the lack of that surreal quality and 'likability'. Crash was original, not a kind-hearted toddler with tats. Cortex wasn't ridiculous and effeminite. The music was distinct and they didnt overdo shit.

@vgman94 Well my claims do feel a bit too deep to be called shallow, but 1) youtube doesn't offer me very much freedom with it character limitations and 2) It isn't really worth the time. Point is, this is a failed job. Anyone with better sense can reinvent or better yet, simply improve, on this franchise that truly did not ever require any "revamping". The REAL reason why half of this can ever sell is really the classic crash and nostalgia. It tricked anybody who overlooked their research.

Is to "simply improve" just adding small gimmick after gimmick in each level? Like what Mario Galaxy did. 5 games and while TwinSanity added new concepts, the games were still mostly repeats. How is this a forgettable idea? Look at the Titans, look at the gameplay and it's potential. Anyone with some view can see that, at the very least, this would be a good idea "wrapped in a mediocre game" as IGN said. Meaning this needs more innovation and homages (Crystals/Gems, etc), but is a good concept.

After repeating the same basic game since Crash 2 to TwinSanity, it'd be a crime to not do something new and revamp the franchises. The only problems are the simple moveset and comedy-based story, which takes away from the plot. TwinSanity had the best story, Titans/MOM are on the right track for gameplay.

I'll admit, I miss the old Crash Bandicoot, but I can adapt to the "new" Crash Bandicoot because it still has the same characters from the previous games, they're just modified a bit. So what if some people miss the old Crash and some people like the new Crash? They still played it. I played the first Crash Bandicoot and became a fan, and I still am. The point is, Crash Bandicoot is still alive, and wouldn't everybody be more disappointed if Crash's lives ran out and couldn't come back?

I'm always a fan of the OLD crash games since crash lost all of its shine in the new games. I mean you can get better quality fighting and puzzle action with games like god of war, uncharted and even Little big planet. I would love to see more old style crash games since it was just so brilliant. But then again it is a personal opinion and I cannot hate someone for liking this game. I'm also interrested of the old villains like papupapu and comodo joe why were they removed they were the best!

Apa649 Even if you can get more quality combat in more adult games, this is a great blueprint on how to improve it. More moves, some inspiration from the ND games and new material can make this awesome. And Uncharted's combat sucks ass (sorry). Generic grenade, rifle, gun, etc. It's boring. Playing as supernatural monsters and a fast bandicoot is far more fun. The old games were good, but brilliant? The music was, but the gameplay didn't break any grounds. I wish old enemies woulc come back too.

@vgman94 I think that sounds pretty much right.
I do enjoy some of the new crashes though but the 2 new ones didnt give me the same feel.
(crash of the titans and umm... was it mind over mutant?)
I could even play those games but I really want the old enemies back and more replay value, I always enjoyed going back for the blue diamond green diamond roads and other hidden areas. I do too enjoy playing more arcade kind of games with simple yet good graphics such as crash.

@OoApa649oO I agree half-ways. I don't think Crash should be arcade, but having little side paths like that would be fun to bring back. And mix the difficulty with enemies and combat, besides extra level hazards aside from nitros which they should bring back. I enjoyed the new games personally, because I didn't care if it was different. I just want to have fun, so it was fun with it's own things. I didn't care much if it didn't have the same feel. As long as it's fun, that's what counts IMO.
